We got there just in time 430pm. We were one of the only tables when we got there. But bye 5 o’clock there was one empty table We had A chicken strip meal with fries. We also we’re going to order a medium pizza our waitress, who is very tentative and explained everything very well as this was our first time visiting here Suggested we take advantage of their special, which was a large Specialty pizza and bread breadsticks for just a few few dollars more. The food was very good and all had very good flavor. Definitely worth the 40 minute drive

Have gotten the deep dish pizza and then tried the chicken tenders and tenderloin sandwich. Everything was amazing each time. We got it for carry out but dining room usually at least half full. If you haven’t tried, you must! Hands down best chicken tenders I’ve ever had.

Was told by my co-workers that if you like deep dish pizza this is a must try in the Quad City area.

This pizza was very tasty. I have nothing bad to say about it but I would not say it’s out of this world must try Pizza.

In the attached pictures the pizza that we ordered was a sausage and mushroom large deep dish. The sauce was very tasty and the ingredients were very fresh. The dough was not overly doughy. The best part of this pizza was the sauce.

Overall definitely a great place to stop and get a pizza. Definitely better than most places you’ll stop to get a pizza especially deep dish here in the Quad City area. Something that they could improve on would be the crust. Essentially think of this pizza as a deep dish hand tossed Pizza Hut dough as the crust. I prefer more of a light and Flaky buttery crust pizza.

If you are looking for the best deep dish pizza in the Quad Cities check out Tony’s in Moline.

Maria’s is a little gem of a place in the heart of Colona’s business district. We had a small family dinner tonight, Tuesday. My older brother and his wife had a beautiful pizza with sausage, pepperoni, and jalapenos. It looked like the pizzas you see in commercials with the delicious mozzarella that pulls out when you grab a slice. They said it was very delicious with a perfectly made crust. I ordered the onion rings as an appetizer for the table. When the tray came out, we were shocked at how many rings it was. We all ate some, but barely ate half the plate. They were delicious too by the way. My little bro and I both ordered the hand battered chicken strips basket with fries. These too may be the biggest chicken strips I have ever seen. Again, neither of us could clean our plates. But we were not going to let these amazing crispy strips with moist chicken inside go to waste. We most definitely took leftovers home for lunch tomorrow. Overall, the food and service was amazing. We kept Abby busy, but she was doing a great job keeping up with all the guests. The place is very clean and cozy. I would definitely recommend taking the family for dinner there. You will not be disappointed.

Chicken tenders were to die for! The sauce that’s served with it is so good. I can’t tell if it’s honey mustard or some type of orange sauce? Regardless it’s amazing. They are hand breaded, and it’s not “filler meat”. It’s legit like chicken.

We got the taco pizza. Which honestly I think it wasn’t the best. They didn’t use the taco chips, they were just plain Doritos. And there was no red onion, and there were hardly any tomatoes. The meat on there, idk, it tasted like middle-school, school-lunch walking taco, on a pizza crust. So. With that said. I will never get that again.

Just because I didn’t like it, doesn’t mean you won’t. And by it I ONLY mean the taco pizza. I have yet to try the traditional pizza flavors, and I can update my review at that time. I’ve actually been eyeing that Chicago deep dish, we’ve had friends say it’s sooooooooo good!

We have had their tenderloin, their breaded mushrooms. The tenderloin is massive and could totally be shared. The dips they serve appear to be home made. Which just totally levels up the experience!! There’s just something about home made ranch that makes me want to do a happy dance.

They truly do have fantastic food. I think this is an excellent addition to Colona, and as always, I’ll be back! Maria’s fan for life!

We are first time visitor to Maria’s Pizza while working in the area.
At first glance you’ll notice that it’s a very simple decor. You seat yourself. We were immediately greeted by the server who took our drink order. As an appetizer, we chose the bacon cheese fries. A few minutes later, a large plate of bacon and cheese goodness landed on our table. I was amazed how much there was. I really expected a plate for two. We ended up having two portions each and enough to take home for leftovers. For our entree, we chose a large stuffed half cheese, half sausage pizza. When it arrived at our table, we noticed that it’s had a bit to much sauce on top. The cheese taste raw and not salty like mozzarella normally taste. It would be more satisfying if the stuffed pizza had been put through the oven prior to adding the sauce topping. This way you get that slight burnt cheese goodness that we all crave. Flavor wise, the pizza was bland.
The kitchen decided to identify the cheese / sausage sides like this. They put cheese on top of the pizza sauce topping and said that was the sausage side. The other half that just had sauce was the cheese side. I felt it should have been the opposite but what do I know? Yet, when I served myself from the side that had just pizza sauce that was supposed to be cheese and it turns out that it’s sausage. It was too confusing for me. Maybe next time I’ll just try to pan pizza.
The bill for the fries and the large stuffed pizza with two drinks came to just over $49 + tip.

Unpretentious, family type place, serves huge portions! My chicken tender basket came with 4 huge pieces of battered fried chicken – it was all I could do to eat one, let alone the giant serving of fries that came with it. Nor could my husband finish the 12 jumbo shrimp, despite being a hearty eater. The appetizer onion rings came in a huge tray and there was no way we could put a dent in that, either – the picture was taken after we each had had a half dozen. Service was absolutely great – it’s obvious that there are a lot of repeat customers.

Not the best service inside. But, the food is fantastic. Fresh ingredients and they don’t skimp on the portions. I was shocked how heavy my large stuffed pizza was. They need to designate better where to go for pick up. Plus acknowledge people when they come in for pick up. They don’t seem to have a designated person to handle all the take out orders. Which they seem to do a lot of.
