Also a water fall in the back of the property?? So cool
Food for the wrong tables was delivered to us twice which we turned away because we hadn’t ordered anything yet. They delivered someone else’s food again a third time after we ordered and the food runner insisted that it was our food. I asked 3 times if they were sure and clarified that I had ordered something off of the sandwich menu. The food runner again insisted that I had the right food item and that it didn’t come as a sandwich. They didn’t drop the third item we ordered for my sister so we waited for a while hoping it would come out while our food was hot. Eventually we had 2 slices of the food that was dropped because we had been waiting 20 minutes for my sisters food to come after ours. The waitress then came down immediately after we had a bite a bite of it and spoke to the table next to us stating that they dropped their food at our table by mistake. Waitress then came to us and stated they made a mistake and the wrong dish would be on the house and that the correct food would be brought out to us. She apologized and all was fine…. Until…..
A different food runner then came down and stated we would be charged for the dish that was left on accident and that the original food runner didn’t speak English so it wasn’t her fault (this was not obvious to us so how would we know?). He tried to take the food from our table because we didn’t order it. I informed him that the waitress had just come down a minute earlier and told us it was a mistake and that it would be comped and to not take the food because she said we could keep it. I asked if he could speak to the waitress to clarify what was promised to us. The food runner then told me he didn’t like my attitude and that because I had an issue with the food he was going to take it from our table and charge us for it. We told him we wouldn’t pay for the food if he took it. I asked to speak to the manager or the original waitress to resolve the situation and he angrily said fine. Mind you, the table next to us was also angry at this point.
I went with him upstairs and asked the server if she was going to charge us for the meal she just stated would be on the house due to their mistake. She said yes we would be charged and that she was going get the manager.
The manager then came out from the kitchen and insisted that the two meals looked completely different and that I should have known. I clarified that I had asked the food runner three times if it was the right meal, even using the name of the dish I had ordered to make sure and she insisted it was mine. I also let him know that the server said it would be on the house and that we could keep it because the runner made a mistake even after I offered it back to her. I let him know that we only had two small end pieces of it if he wanted to take it back and remove it from the bill. I repeatedly stated that I didn’t want to cause a problem but what they were doing what not fair or kind to us due to the massive upcharge.
After some back and forth he decided that he wouldn’t charge me for the food that was forced on us and hoped we would enjoy the dish that was brought to us by mistake again in the future. When the salmon finally came out it was not cooked all the way through but we were over the nastiness from the waitstaff at this point.
Our moods and appetite were ruined so we packed up to go boxes and left. We were extremely disappointed with how rude the waitress and food runner boy were when the mistake was not made by us. It was pretty obvious that somebody from the kitchen or management was mean to reaming our waitress prior this. It definitely wasn’t her fault that the wrong dish was brought out in the first place. We are pretty relaxed guests when it comes to mistakes but having to defend ourselves against the busboy and manager while our food got cold ruined our night out.
We enjoy taking visitors here in the summer or joining after softball games in the fall but I’m not sure we will be back after this evening.
