Came here this good pub on game day. There was a clean dining room with a good bar and large screens. Servers were nice but I felt the female bartender was a little lazy. WiFi was available but terribly slow. There was live game on screens but no live voice from the game. I asked for the game voice instead of background music, but they refused.
There were many classic dishes and chefs specials in the menu. I tried the MacKenzie meatloaf coming with bacon, mashed potatoes, and mixed vegetables. It tasted okey but the sweet bbq sauce was too thick for me. I also ordered a takeout pineapple pizza. The pizza was baked freshly with sweet pineapples, but the balsamic glaze was also too thick and sweet for me. There were happy hours, lunch combos, and special events. Anyway, this restaurant was not a great place for Buckeye games.

1st time going to MacKenzie’s. I came with my family (7) for my birthday dinner. We had zero wait for a table and our server was very attentive and took good care of us.
The problem was the food. It was not good at all. 2 of us ordered the fish and chips. Both orders were completely overcooked. I ate one piece. I couldn’t even eat the rest. I finished off the fries and coleslaw which were both decent. But the fish was horrible. Another person ordered the Mackenzie alfredo. It was not good either. It looked and tasted like it came out the freezer and was thrown in the microwave for heating. 2 people ordered the wings, which were just ok. My son did give good feedback on the Grizzly burger and said that it was good. My 10yr ordered the pasta w/ meat sauce from the kids menu and she said hers was also just ok. I wanted to try somewhere different than my usual go to spot and unfortunately I was extremely disappointed in the food quality. Oh! We did have the Lodgepoles as our appetizer and I will say that they were good and probably the only thing we truly enjoyed there. The pesto that comes with them was super yummy! Overall, the food quality was poor, but the server was nice.

We had a large party (30 people) that included a lot of kids and everyone on the staff was patient, effective and friendly! Everyone got their orders right, the food was good and had a great time at the restaurant.

Thank you so much for giving us such great service that allowed us all to bond and have a great time.

Walked in and restaurant was fairly empty. We were seated pretty quickly, but you could tell they were way understaffed. It took a while to get drinks and place an order. Food was pretty good so, no complaints there. Server was really friendly and personable, although busy and at times took a while to check on us.

Pretty bummed out by our experience at Mackenzie River last night. Our server was very inattentive and seemed bothered by our presence.

When we first arrived, our server asked what we’d like to drink and then immediately asked what we’d like to eat for our entrees, and after we said we needed more time, he took a while to swing back to our table. The restaurant seemed pretty busy, so I can understand. The issues arrived when we placed an order for cocktails and our appetizer. Our appetizer came out incorrectly. When we ordered our entrees (a burger and salad with grilled chicken), they came out and we still didn’t have our cocktail. Mind you, we had placed our cocktail order 20-30 minutes before. I reminded the server of this and he returned with a pretty warm cocktail. We finished our food and waited some while longer and asked for the bill, and when it came out, there were inconsistencies. We asked our server why the grilled chicken we added was double the price on the menu, he said the chicken we selected was different but he’d get it changed to the posted price. After fixing it, he set the bill down on the table, cashed us out, and that was the end of our experience.

This time was much different than previous experiences I’ve had at the restaurant. I’ve only had positive things to say about this restaurant as the servers, waitstaff, and management have always been beyond friendly, but our server seemed indifferent, inattentive, and unapologetic about the mistakes made throughout the night. An apology truly would’ve solved a lot of issues for me, but the fact that I felt like I had to be the bad guy Karen and inconvenience him to get the things we ordered was odd and out of character for Mackenzie River.

Oh my. This place has delicious food. They have a daily special until 4pm called the “rod and reel”. You pick 2 for 14.99. I ended up getting a bowl of their soup of the day, which was chicken tortilla and a half of a reuben sandwich. I wasn’t expecting the sandwich to come with fries and coleslaw as well. It was so much food and it was very good. The service was excellent as well.

Really just wanted to provide feedback. I’ve ordered from here many times and usually stick with what I like (Cajun chicken penne). Lately it has been very inconsistent. Last time I counted like 4 very thin slices of sausage and the sauce lacked flavor. Also the breadstick was literally hard as a rock. I also for the first time ordered a small Ceasars salad with it. Didn’t really think twice about the price of the small salad, but when I got home and saw the little 3x4inch container I was pretty disappointed. A salad that small shouldn’t exceed $5 or $6, I think I paid $12

Server was very attentive to us and our girls. Food was excellent! Had the peach chutney flatbread, chicken ranch spring rolls, and steak bites. Kids meals were appropriately portioned and the kids cleaned their plates. Very neat atmosphere and wasn’t too overwhelming for a Saturday night. We will absolutely be back.

The atmosphere is great. Nice and rustic, comfortable and better than average privacy between tables. We sat in a booth but they also have high top tables and a bar with big screen tv’s.

We had a great selection of food and all of it was good. We had chicken rolls (excellent), tortilla soup, a polanesian pizza (abundant and good), a wedge salad, a chicken sandwich and fries.

Sad to say the female who sat us was less than friendly. The waiter pushed as soon as we sat down and we hadn’t even looked at the menu yet. I had to practically beg to get a beer?! No desserts were suggested and this was a birthday gathering. Not the end of the world but our bill pushed $100 for 3 of us including a tip.
