I have eaten here many times and haven’t left a review. It time I give the credit due. This place is awesome. I have never been disappointed except for when they are closed. Great food, service and right on the canal. Perfect spot for boats to pull up or cars to park. Good size portions of foot for the price. The alligator bites are delicious and so is … well basically everything on the menu and the specials too I recommend it highly if you are nearby and hungry. Call ahead for hours in off season.

We just bought a home in Cross, SC and heard that THE place to eat was Mac Daddy’s. The word of mouth reviews did absolutely no justice to this place. We expected good food, but the meals exceeded our expectations. Everything was flavorful and fresh. We tried the gator bites (4 of the 5 of us never had alligator before) and even my “chicken only” nine year old loved them! The canal view was very pleasant and the staff was warm and friendly. Kimberly was an amazing server and the manager on duty was welcoming and friendly also. We will definitely be regulars there!
I hate to see the negative reviews on this restaurants page. Maybe having been a restaurant manager for years gives me a more patient demeanor. Food did take a little longer, but not as bad as some have said.

I am in South Carolina for work. I am so happy that I found this spot. I love it. The lunch bar has delicious comfort food meals every day. Everybody that works here is so kind and hospitable. My work crew and I will be coming in everyday for lunch until our job is complete

Stopped by after a long day of fishing. Great views, convenient location, but the service was quite slow.
Took over 35 mins for 2 sandwiches and 2 hotdogs.
Food was good and fresh, and there is not many options around.
Dock to tie off your boat while you eat. Neat place to swing by and grab a bit to eat.
I’ll give it another chance when I’m down there, hopefully the service is a bit quicker.

Food is good. Wait staff are great. Wait was terrible due to bad management. We waited 2hrs because the night manager was overwhelmed and frustrated trying to fill a large take out order. Then took it out on those dining in.

I highly recommend the catfish fillets. So yummy. Our new go-to place for catfish. They have indoor seating and also a patio area with tables and chairs. Pull up in your boat. It’s right on the canal. Go!

So found this while out of town for work. Not impressed. Great views but service was below the standard and food (Ray’s Burger) left ALOT to be desired. So a little update , I have been back to this restaurant a couple of times since posting the first review. Still say the view is the best part , catfish nuggets are worth trying again, hamburger steak was really good , definitely enjoyed it , the ribeye , which I got on the last trip wasn’t impressive. Good size steak, good cut , just wasn’t cooked or seasoned to my taste. Medium rare was definitely RARE , borderline blue rare (raw with a little sear on both sides) , the seasoning was a little much , pepper was heavy and overbearing.

Pull up and dock the boat. Plenty of boat parking to grab lunch. The canal can sometimes have a nasty current flow so launching a boat here isn’t for the beginners. Food is great and fairly priced.
