Standard Chinese restaurant you’d find in most cities and many towns. Nice that it is sit down table service versus counter order. The environment is comfortable and family friendly. Large selection of dishes as well, so you’ll find your standard favorites plus many a few other selections to try.

The Hot and Sour Soup was average, so had to spice it up with the hot chili paste at the table and good helping of soy sauce.

The Ribs were not something I was fan of compared to the ones that are finished off via flame grill. I personally would not order these again.

The Singapore Noodles were exactly as I’d expect. There was a nice flavor and texture to the dish with just the right balance of ingredients. This was a dish I would order again, but when I return I’ll also try some other dishes to see if there is a true stand out dish.

Will return: the best sesame balls 煎堆!

Calm, with Zen-like music and fake bird chirping. The decor feels outdated. The staff are polite and kind, and they didn’t laugh at my Cantonese (though they switched to Mandarin – oh well). Chairs are low; the portions are large.

We had two fish dishes: Black bean flounder 豆豉/豉汁 and Sichuan spicy fish fillet 水煮鱼, which wasn’t the smartest choice — that was my fault.

Both dishes looked unusual – dark and no floating oil, which I don’t mind, but tasted okay: I’d order the flounder again, but not the Sichuan fish fillet.

All the fish prices are ‘seasonal’. At a Cantonese seafood restaurant, live fish are typical. But when the server asked me ‘pomanno’ or ‘flounder,’ I knew we’d be eating dead fish. The flounder was very clean, per this bone lover.

By the way, they do have salty fish chicken tofu clay pot 咸鱼鸡粒豆腐煲 – next time.

The sesame balls are served on a bed of white radish, which is odd, but they’re some of the best I’ve had.

We arrived at 5:30, and it gets busy by 6:30, mostly with non-Asian customers who do seem like regulars.

The bathroom is decent, especially compared to the one at Rocca, which we visited two days ago.

It was so peaceful upon our arrival. When I moved my chair, it squeaked—maybe try using tennis balls on the chair (may not look nice…); I’d donate some.

It’s a little out of the way from downtown St. Pete (about 20 minutes to the St. Pete opera), which is why we didn’t come sooner.

The food was delicious!! We had the Duchess crab which was phenomenal, personally I do not enjoy the head innards but the rest of the crab was very flavorful!! We also got the abalone soup and it was wonderful!

Australian expat review. My 1st time visiting. Arrived riding solo at 4:30pm sharp at opening on Sunday. Restaurant was ready for business, and I was given my choice of open tables. Server was very attentive throughout despite approx 35 people arriving right after me. Ordered the Peking Duck 1/2, very nice. Good quality duck. Nice sauce / juices which initially through me off for Peking duck but it was not over the skin so all good! 4 Spring Rolls, small but pretty good. XO Fried Rice, decent especially good for St Petersburg and Pinellas Park area. Will definitely be back regularly. Unfortunately no delivery available or lunch service. Try it, you won’t be disappointed!

太蓝吃啦!I’ve dined at many Chinese restaurants in my life, but this one? This one deserves a special place—in the culinary Hall of Shame. Every dish was a bold reinterpretation of Chinese cuisine, bold in the sense that it took real nerve to serve something that bad. Honestly, if I ever needed a reason to go on a lifelong Chinese food detox, this place nailed it.

It was like a game of “how bad can it get?”—and somehow, the kitchen kept outdoing itself. The only semi-redeemable thing was dessert, and even that felt like a trap.

As for service—imagine a Chinese restaurant where staff don’t understand Chinese. A plot twist no one asked for. And the chef? Charged me $75 just to cook a fish I brought in. I guess they thought I left my brain at the door along with my dignity.

If you’re into overpriced culinary betrayal and customer service that borders on performance art, this might just be your new favorite spot. Otherwise, run.

We stumbled upon this restaurant around 10:00 PM after driving in from Jacksonville and decided to give it a try — and we’re so glad we did! Fish maw soup and seafood were surprisingly good, especially for a late-night find. We’ll definitely be coming back next time we’re in Tampa!

After living and working in Mainland China as well as Taiwan for almost 7 years I’ve found this restaurant to be the most similar (this side of the bay) to that cuisine. Most of the food is Cantonese/southern China but they also have a number of Mainland dishes as well.
Their Niu nang tang Hue fen/beef noodle soup with rice noodles is spot on to what I used to get in Taiwan.
I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants good Chinese food and doesn’t want to travel to Tampa. The staff is always friendly and accommodating as well. I’ve been here many times and have yet to have a bad experience.

ABC Seafood Restaurant

This isn’t the place people post selfies in. It’s the kind of place locals mention in a lowered voice — and chefs listen. ABC Seafood doesn’t try to impress the camera. It speaks directly to the palate.

Atmosphere

Don’t expect music. Don’t expect mood lighting. Expect fluorescent lights, laminated menus, and a kitchen that doesn’t care what’s trending on Instagram. If that sounds like a warning, you’re not the target customer.

Experience was awesome. Food was excellent. Used real fresh ingredients unlike most and almost all take out Chinese experiences to include freshly cut and battered chicken for my sesame chicken. Portions are huge and price is blessing.
Frankie at the front counter was helpful in making sure I got my order right to the last detail.
Will be back for sure and certain.
Can’t live without this place and may never eat other take outs again.

Love the lobster or crab with ginger and scallion. The steamed fish with soy sauce, ginger and scallion is pretty good too (but sometimes tastes a bit overcooked so it’s drier than I’d like). The steamed chicken with ginger scallion sauce is amazing. We’ve also tried the steamed oysters, which were pretty good.
