I had the distinct pleasure recently of dining at M Brothers at Mayo, while waiting at Mayo Clinic Hospital for a relatives outpatient surgery to be completed.
I was as impressed with the restaurant detail and food, as I was with the efficiency and attention to detail of the hospital itself. This is definitely an unexpected dining oasis, that I had heard about, but had never previously enjoyed.
Great ambiance, service from Kaleen, and fare, especially the House-Made Breads and Salads.
It’s not often that you would consider a trip to the hospital solely to dine, but an M Brothers at Mayo experience does it! I only wish we had time for the dessert!

Oh my goodness I was so very impressed with the food qualiity and atmosphere of this restaurant! Exexutive Chef Thomas Rivers and his staff blew us away with these delicious appetizers which began our journey. Each delightful aspect was perfectly prepared and the presentation was astounding. The meal continued with our main entrees which unfortunately I was so anxious to devour i failed to get a photo but were nothing shy of exquisite! And alas the happy ending of an assortment of delectable desserts which were hand prepared and delivered by Chef Thomas himself. Our experience was a once in a lifetime experience that none of us will ever forget! Thank you for every detail of fine dining from the hostess, wait staff, outstanding service and of course Chef Thomas. We will definitely be back!

As usual, this latest offering was great. The ambiance was what you would expect from a high end restaurant. The tuna tacos were a amazing. The Fried chicken bao was good, but suffers from the same mistake lots of folks make, they chicken was not seasoned. I think they were anticipating that the sauce would be enough, but I am a Southern boy. The bao buns were soft and very complimentary to the crispiness of the chicken. The hostess and bartender were very cool. Overall, I would go back for a good night out to explore the rest of the menu. I was tempted by the poke bowl and the barbacoa iberico chop. Has to get back for some of that.

The dining experience and food was out of this world amazing! It was so great to catch up with friends while enjoying some deliciously unique dishes and amazing ambiance. The Executive Chef Thomas Rivers even came out to the table to explained every dish like it was a work of art. We will definitely be back and this is the perfect place for dinner with friends, date night or even take an extended lunch if you work at Mayo Clinic! Thank you Thomas for feeding us such amazing food, we will definitely be back!

During my brother’s admission to Mayo, my husband and I ate this restaurant several times. Always an amazing experience. One Saturday night after 9:00, we were walking around on a “hot sauce mission “ for my brother. We saw the door still open and a server walking by. Heather proceeded to help our plight and procured 3 small samples of hot sauce for us. This small act brought so much happiness to both us and my brother. This is the definition of hospitality-going above and beyond to create a memory. We will always remember this kindness.

My 50 year old husband has been in critical condition and has been in the hospital for a week with a cancer diagnosis after a 10 hour surgery. I’ve been at his side every second. Tonight, I decided to venture out for dinner and a drink after a stressful week. I decided on this restaurant for its convenience. This was not the atmosphere that I was expecting at all. I do not expect for anyone to feel sorry for me or to be at my beck and call. That’s not me. However, I waited a long time for a waitress to show up to my table where I sat alone. There were two tables behind me that seemed to be partying. In fact, the entire restaurant seemed to be 100% bar atmosphere. I felt like I was in the middle of a bar in Savannah (where I’m from). This is a hospital. While I greatly appreciate the change in atmosphere from the typical hospital restaurant, I don’t appreciate the attitude or service that I received, ESPECIALLY considering this restaurant is in s hospital. If you want the atmosphere that you’re currently portraying, then open a venue on the beach. This isn’t the time or place for rudeness and lack of compassion. My waitress was so short and abrupt with me when I could have really used a smile. I smiled at her, and I was completely pleasant. I didn’t have the energy to be otherwise. I would have been okay with this attitude anywhere else. No problem. When you’re in this setting, it doesn’t take a lot of effort to lend a smile and a sweet word. I got neither of these. In fact, I felt ignored and rudely approached. The hostess and the food was this restaurant’s saving grace. Thank you for that b/c the rest of my week will consist of protein bars. Just keep in mind where you are, and keep in mind that not everyone is coming to have a “good” time. Many of us just want a hot meal, a break, and a smile. Training your staff accordingly.

If I could leave 10 stars I would. This fine dining restaurant is located in Mayo Clinic next to Cannady Building. I was super skeptical due to the not always positive hype about “hospital food”. I understand the need for dietary reasons, BUT this experience blew me away. I LOVE food and trying new places. So this was outside my comfort zone. Due to situations outside of my control, this was my 1st choice for dinner after not eating for hours. Jessica and Brandon, professional bar staff, and to my good fortune the executive chef was mastering the grill, I had the filet. Perfectly cooked to mid rare, veggies and potatoes were amazing, and the au jus gravy under it all was so crazy good. I ate every bite and can say it was perfect. Love the bordeaux blend, such a perfect match. Soooo… don’t walk, RUN to experience a great meal in romantic / modern decor hidden spot. Cheers!! Teresa Louise

This place is almost a hidden gem as it’s a wonderful dining experience inside of the north entrance to the Mayo Clinic. Great place for a client lunch or a relaxing dinner listening to live saxophone.

Really excellent food! What a nice area for respite during a long day of appointments at Mayo Clinic. We had the burger, medium well with cheddar cheese and it was delicious. Mom has the house salad with a house dressing, also very tasty. The coffee was good and well-earned since we were up at 6:15 a.m

M Brothers is top tier. My wife and I attended the Culinary Passport tasting menu for the 2nd time with a group, and the region this time was the French Riviera. Every single bite was immaculate. My words to attempt describing this experience are not going to do it justice, so you will just need to try it for yourself. The Medure brothers create some of the best fine dining restaurants in town (Restaurant Medure, Matthew’s) and this is no exception. Compliments to the chef – this meal was extremely enjoyable, and was truly a work of art.
