Clearly if you look at the comments this owner is blind to his own inadequacy. He can’t deal with criticism. We had multiple employees tell us that they were the only one working for hours upon hours because so many others quit.

We have been regulars to Concord since 2010,
Long before the new owner. When he bought the place I noticed a difference instantly. The first thing I noticed was the pizza crust is clearly not fresh and homemade, but premade by another company. Quality has gone down significantly in every what. Last time we were there we wanted to call and order some food. We were hung up on at least 6-7 times. Finally walked over there to see what this issue was and it turns out they only had 2-3 people working. The waitress/ bar tender was so overwhelmed by having no help that she was hanging up on customers. This would have never happened 7-8 years ago;

We were looking for a late night place to eat. We came here around 10:45 at night, We ordered a pizza a few appetizers. The cheesesteak dumplings were OK. They were a little greasy, we ordered a regular pizza pie, which it was absolutely horrendous. We couldn’t even have a bite of it. It was so gross. The mozzarella sticks were not good either you take a bite out of it and it doesn’t even taste like mozzarella sticks. It wasn’t even heated that much. The Buffalo chicken eggrolls were OK and we ordered a Philly cheesesteak with just cheese and the steak and it was OK as well. The burger was also decent, but definitely do not order the pizza

Visited on August 2 with a party of 6 and had a wonderful dinner and drinks. Keira was our server and she was polite and accommodating. She checked on us frequently and made sure our beverages were full. The burger was amazing and the tap beer was ice cold. The fries and wings are our family favorite. This is our go to place for a great family meal at a good price. We will be back!

The Concord is perhaps somewhat of a hidden gem. We frequent it year-round, especially in the off-season. It has a nice atmosphere and bar.

The food is good. It very well might be the best pizza in SH.

The service is very good, in our experience, the longer-tenured staff is great. It is nice to see how they work with the seasonal staff to help them learn and grow.

Pricing is OK, so the overall value and experience is great.

We went to the Concord last week; there were 7 of us in all. Here are some of the positives: the wait wasn’t long, the food was decent bar food, and the music was fun. I’ve been to the Concord many times in the past, but sadly, this will likely be our last visit. Surrounding/on our table, there were several flyers, advertising happy hour food and prices – (all of the items on this flyer were also on the menu). Almost everyone in our party ordered at least one item off of this happy hour menu (along with other items). When our check arrived, none of the items were discounted at the happy hour rate (which is really the reason we did order some of the food). I was about to question our waitress when my daughter noticed that the flyers displayed on the table were not for the actual Concord – they were advertised for a different restaurant. Although that was written at the top of the page, the font for that was smaller than the actual details about the time, menu, and prices. Of course we assumed the happy hour menu posted was for happy hour at THIS restaurant. I never would have thought it was just an advertisement for a different restaurant, especially because all of the menu items were the same. We felt duped, and honestly, it really felt like a bait and switch. Yes, it’s our fault that I didn’t look at the flyers more closely, but where do you see menus at a restaurant for a different restaurant? That makes no sense. We spent almost $300 on dinner, and sadly, that’s the last dollar I’ll ever spend here. There are a ton of other (and some new) really great restaurants in the Stone Harbor and Avalon areas – if you go, the food isn’t bad…just make sure you read the fine print before you order.

I’m assuming management/ownership/chef changed in the past couple of years. I used to really enjoy eating here. We’ve eaten here twice this year and both times were not good. First time in April, service was good but the pizza was tasteless. Yesterday, the service was terrible and the place was totally empty. This restaurant used to be packed and we were the only ones eating at 12:30. I went to the bathroom and no soap to wash hands. When I told the girl at the counter there was no soap the response was “well I guess we ran out.” Really? When I asked we’ll how am I supposed to wash my hands she finally said she would try to find some. I ended up going into the men’s room to get soap. Server was friendly but ordered an appetizer that never came. Someone who ordered takeout spilled something and she told 3 people who were standing together who looked at her and said “don’t worry about it” and not one walked over to look at it or clean it up for the 20 min we remained. Found out a bartender who had been there for YEARS doesn’t work there any more which should say something about the current status of this restaurant. It’s disappointing to see the negative changes in a place we enjoyed going to for so long.

I walked in and had to wait 15 minutes for someone to even come up to us. There was a “please wait to be seated” sign but after 15 minutes of waiting we were told to seat ourselves…BY A CUSTOMER!!

Our waiter came up, didn’t introduce himself but when I said we were not ready to order, he cut me off mid sentence and said “ugh you’re not ready yet” and hurriedly walked away!!!! I have never been treated like this in a restaurant before. So unprofessional.

We ordered the pizza and I have never been so disgusted in my life!! It’s a crime to charge $25 for what it was. The buffalo chicken eggrolls were tasteless.

Our waiter never came to ask us how everything was and never refilled our waters which was odd considering the place was EMPTY.

The place is an eyesore and so outdated. Get Gordon Ramsay in here STAT.

This place really lives up to its horrible reviews, it’s actually shocking. I am so angry i didn’t read the reviews before hand because I would have never stepped foot in the place if I had.

I walked out hungry.

Will not be returning.

Wow we stopped by w/granddaughters for lunch. Wings were very good. But downhill after that: came for the roast pork (great from previous visits) funny taste to pork, couldn’t finish. Fried haddock on a brioche roll which wasn’t up to the task. Pasta and chicken tenders, merely blah. Wait staff started clearing table while we’re still eating! $120 inc a couple drinks! It’s hard leaving even the minimal tip when you feel taken for a ride. Oh and do forget the surcharge for paying w/ a CC! The place is no longer the gem it once was.

Casual place with excellent food, table service, and bartending. No reservations, so expect a wait at busy times.

We ordered their 2 pizzas for $32.00 and was very disappointed. We were told a 1 hour wait. We arrived in 1 hour. The pizza was cold and the French fries were soggy. Since it is so close to our condo I was hoping that they would knock it out of the park but they didn’t. The pizza had absolutely no taste. Won’t order it again.
