Had a great time at Lychee. The food is good, but the service was even better. The sangria was great and on sale as a 2 for 1 Special. Our server was so friendly and easy to talk to. We enjoyed our time and the cocktails and gave us a tasty shot of Mezcal. Definitely recommend for the atmosphere because it’s a very cool set up. Would good again!

I suppose the problem of having visited Thailand several times, elevates the bar when visiting Thai restaurants around the world. And there’s quite a few of them; alas Lychee is not one of them.
The fried rolls were quite good, but that’s about it. The curry was anything but curry, and the pad Thai was lacking, well, everything.
Nice place, i like what the ladies have done there. Perhaps they should learn more about Thai food before long.
The manager did comp us for the lackluster dinner, but even so, $720 total was the worst most expensive dinner during our Escondido visit in 2025. Also, she should remind other patrons that smoking/vaping is prohibited nationwide.

Lychee offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, enhanced by cozy seating and soft lighting—perfect for a relaxed evening. The tuna carpaccio was well-executed, and the cocktail program is solid. However, the main courses we tried, including Pad Kra Pao and Pad See Ew, fell short. The accompanying rice arrived cold initially, and the replacement was lukewarm and clearly reheated. While the restaurant is marketed as a fusion concept, the dishes lacked clear direction and didn’t capture authentic Thai flavors.
That said, the ambience, attentive service, and quality of the cocktails make it a venue we would return to just for the drinks and a comfortable setting.

I hate leaving bad reviews but this felt like a waste of money, almost 60 bucks for two. Nice restaurant and atmosphere, service was good and staff was friendly. We sat at the bar and watched the cooks make the food.
The food was really nothing special, bland if I’m being totally honest. We got the pad Thai and sweet sour chicken. They both just had no flavor. My girlfriend remembered the dessert being good but we didn’t order any. I really hope they can turn things around here

We enjoyed our experience here, we are very surprised to see negative reviews. The food was delicious, great choice of drinks, the vibe and ambience is so nice and chill, we especially appreciate the low floor seating options, we wish other restaurants had them. We will definitely be back again.

If a Thai person came here and you never told them it was Thai food, they would look up from their plate and ask what cuisine it is.
Overall, the food tastes ok, but definitely is not Thai.
There were aromas of indian curry and flavours of ???. Not a single coconut was milked, nor harmed in the making of the mystery curries.
The ambiance is great, the service is amazing, and the cocktails are delicious. If you are an influencer and want nice photos, but want to keep your slender physique for the ‘gram, this is your spot.

Have been for dinner twice both times were excellent. The Thai food here is incredible and so fresh, better than anything I’ve had in the states. The atmosphere is dark and bohemian and sexy with sand floors and great music. Highly recommend the green curry.

Beautiful restaurant and good service. We ordered Thai dishes but the taste wasn’t exactly Thai. It was more like Thai fusion. I’m specifically talking about the Papaya Salad, Pad See Ewe and the Green Chicken Curry. It wasn’t bad but we were expecting more Thai flavors. I wouldn’t recommend the specialty water, it was too thick to drink and ended up getting warm fast. We sat on the floor seating but there were tables and seating around the cooking area.

The ambiance at Lychee is inviting, and the Pad Thai was flavorful. However, the portion size was quite small considering the price. More disappointingly, the service left much to be desired. Our waitress seemed rushed and inattentive, especially after we ordered only drinks and appetizers. It felt as though we were being hurried to leave, which made the experience uncomfortable. While the food has its merits, the lackluster service detracted from the overall dining experience.

Nothing tastes quite like original Thai food here but it was all pretty good nonetheless. The flavors were off in the pad see ew and pad Thai, if you’re looking for complete authenticity you won’t find it but we cleaned our plates and remarked that it was still really good. The only thing we couldn’t get down was the green curry!! It tasted like someone unloaded an enyire bottle of cumin it, cumin!?The liquados/juices were very good and mostly we just loved the atmosphere and the space. The service was very good as well.
