This was our second time trying the food. The first was nothing to write home about. This time was pretty awful. 🙁 We customized a sausage, garlic and oil, broccoli rabe pasta dish and the sausage was absolutely terrible. It tasted like dog food and I ended up spitting it out. We won’t be back.

Luigi’s is one of our favorite dining spots because their house- made pasta is the best in the area, we like their blush AND Alfredo sauce! Julie and Sharon, both regular servers, attended our large party of 18 Veteran’s Friday, Feb. 6th, literally non-stop, serving their DELICIOUS bread (pizza dough!) soup, salads, main course, coffee and dessert graciously, and with a smile! Real authentic “family” atmosphere! We LOVE LUIGI’S! Special SHOUT OUT TO JULIE AND SHARON!

Son and I wanted to get an easy meal not too far from home, and enjoyed this quite a bit. Solid food (the bread was amazing), pleasant service, and good if not spectacular atmosphere. Very reasonably priced, too. All in all, both of us would recommend this place for a good meal which won’t break the bank.

I reserved a table at Luigi’s restaurant via Google assistant and it worked great. We got a nice table at the window a little separate from the main seating area. The service was nice and friendly and we didn’t have to wait long to order. They offer a variety of typical Italian food on the menu like pasta, pizza, risotto, seafood, etc. We had a good bottle of Malbec from Argentina and ordered calamari as appetizer. As main course he had the broccoli gnocchi and eggplant lasagne. Both was good but didn’t quite have the Italian touch that we expected like fresh parmesan and basil or garlic olive oil for instance. The ambience was nice but again we missed some Italian music or little details in the decoration. I think these are the small differences that differentiate a good Italian from a great one. Overall we were happy with the experience and definitely recommend it to someone who doesn’t have these expectations of an Italian restaurant. However, I think little improvements here and there can go a long way.

In a town that’s seen its share of dining trends come and go, Luigi’s in Fairfield stands as a beloved institution. Since 1975, this family-run gem has been serving up more than just pizza – it’s been dishing out a sense of community and continuity that’s as comforting as a perfectly baked crust.

Luigi’s is not just another pizzeria; it’s a slice of Fairfield’s culinary history. Known for its classic, reasonably priced menu, the restaurant has quietly become a cornerstone of local dining. The pizza is the undeniable star: crisp, flavorful, and made with the kind of care that only decades of experience can bring. Each bite is a little taste of tradition, the kind of pizza that locals swear by and newcomers quickly fall in love with.

But the delights don’t stop at pizza. Luigi’s Caesar salad is a standout – fresh, well-balanced, and consistently good. It’s the kind of dish that complements their pizza perfectly and keeps regulars coming back. Add in a roster of other high-quality, no-fuss Italian staples, and you have a menu that’s both familiar and reliably delicious.

What makes Luigi’s truly special is its role as a community anchor. It’s a place where generations have gathered, where the faces behind the counter know your name, and where supporting a local business feels like supporting a piece of Fairfield itself. In an ever-changing dining landscape, Luigi’s remains a constant – a testament to the power of great food, family ownership, and a commitment to serving the neighborhood.

In short, Luigi’s is more than just a restaurant; it’s a Fairfield classic that deserves every bit of local love. If you haven’t been yet, you owe it to yourself to go and see why this humble spot has earned its place in the town’s heart.

Food was absolutely amazing. Dessert was awesome. This was me and my husband’s first time in Connecticut celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and this was by far one of the best places we have dined at and we travel almost every weekend. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Could not ask for a better experience.
