I reserved a table at Luigi’s restaurant via Google assistant and it worked great. We got a nice table at the window a little separate from the main seating area. The service was nice and friendly and we didn’t have to wait long to order. They offer a variety of typical Italian food on the menu like pasta, pizza, risotto, seafood, etc. We had a good bottle of Malbec from Argentina and ordered calamari as appetizer. As main course he had the broccoli gnocchi and eggplant lasagne. Both was good but didn’t quite have the Italian touch that we expected like fresh parmesan and basil or garlic olive oil for instance. The ambience was nice but again we missed some Italian music or little details in the decoration. I think these are the small differences that differentiate a good Italian from a great one. Overall we were happy with the experience and definitely recommend it to someone who doesn’t have these expectations of an Italian restaurant. However, I think little improvements here and there can go a long way.

Food was absolutely amazing. Dessert was awesome. This was me and my husband’s first time in Connecticut celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and this was by far one of the best places we have dined at and we travel almost every weekend. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Could not ask for a better experience.

A really nice place to get Italian food. The service is excellent and the portions are huge, enough to take home for the next day.

Called to make a reservation in early afternoon. Never been in this place before!! We were told they don’t make reservations after 5pm ?? Just show up at 7 we will be fine. At 7 there were 5 parties waiting. The best part; the host lady literally loudly yelled at us when we explain our situation. With her long nails and loud voice in front of everyone literally implied us either wait or go! Cause the wait was about an hour. She was so rude my wife and I were in shock. Get ready to face a loud welcome and unwelcoming host before you show up here!

I’ve been going to Luigi’s since birth, literally. The pizza is always fantastic, the best I’ve ever had. Plus they have any extensive menu of salads, pastas and Italian entrees.

Stopped by for a Valentines dinner. Luigis had a special menu. We had a few items from it. Osobuco veal on safron risotto (personal favorite) for the night. Combination surf and turf (Filet Mignon with peppercorn sauce and a crabmeat stuffed lobster tail on a potato coquette). First time for me on that one. Shrimp cocktail and an Insalata del cuore. No foto on that one for it disappeared as fast as it arrived! Lol. Love this place.
