Luciano Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria originated from Hackensack, NJ in 1964. We’ve been a staple in Northern Virginia since 1973, and have been serving the Oakton Community fresh Southern Italian Cuisine daily since 1995! Much like our loyal customers, the majority of our staff have been with us since we opened. From day one, it has been our goal to be your “go to” neighborhood restaurant. From baking our own bread from scratch four times a day to kneading our own fresh pizza dough every afternoon, we are dedicated to offering you nothing but the best quality. Which is why we also make our own sausages in house, our soup is crafted from scratch, and if it’s not homemade it’s imported straight from Italy.

Service was awesome. Food was good, especially sesame bun when we sat down, and good tomato brushetta. Not a fan a dogmatic menu statements against substitutions, etc. Also my wife was not impressed with having to ask for (and pay extra) for a tiny bowl of side pasta for chicken parm. Tables seem to be too close together. Overall OK experience being our first time there.

Love this place. My ‘Go To’ Italian. Laughing at the haters. Great menu, food is excellent, prices are very reasonable and service is always good. So this isn’t high end Italian, but is solid cheap, good Italian. And a very nice place. Had a pasta and then got a cannoli – which was excellent. So their red sauce isn’t awesome, but it’s fine. Their pizza was pretty good as well. Been in town for 3 months and think I’ve gone here 5 times already. It’s a solid place worth giving a try.

Nice spot nestled in Hunter mill plaza. Very cool atmosphere doesn’t feels like you are in Italy, chunky tomatoe sauce was spectacular as it is imported from Italy, and lasagna was delicious. Salad was fresh and tasty, highly recommend Luciano’s. Server was great too.

And the spaghetti with meat sauce and wedding soup was great, the service was fantastic, reasonably priced.
As they should the server checked up on us a couple times after the food was delivered.
There is one improvement I’d recommend they make, on the check there’s a QR code to pay your bill at the table but it only works with an iPhone it will not work with Android, which doesn’t make any sense since Android has a much larger market share than iPhone does nowadays.

The White/Cheese Pizza is unbeatable—the crust strikes the perfect balance of crispy and chewy, while garlic, olive oil, pecorino, and mozzarella make it rich without being too heavy. I’ve tried much of the menu, but this one keeps me coming back.
Wine & Dessert
Wine: Not the largest selection, but carefully chosen and pairs well with pizza and pasta.
Ice Cream: Smooth, creamy, and the perfect way to wrap up dinner.
Atmosphere
Warm, consistent, and welcoming. Whether it’s a family dinner, casual night out, or a quick bite, Luciano’s always feels like home.

Survice was great, and so was the atmosphere. The problem is with the food it’s quite expensive for what you get. I ordered a chicken entree and so did my friend, and there was no side salad or was there any bread included like most Italian restaurants. The entree was also just the chicken with the sauce and some sautéed veggies on the side. I expected it to come on a bed of pasta but it did not. The veggies that we had were also pretty undercooked and very mediocre overall not a good first impression.

I went to this restaurant second time. I like their vegetarian pizza. Fresh and delicious. The free rolls they serve are the best. Service is extremely good. Very polite and friendly. This time we went around 3 pm.So, it was very calm and peaceful. Ambience is special as they have so many live plants hanging to the ceiling and around the walls. The murals are very beautiful.

Ordered several dishes for takeout which were all great but want to comment on the veggie pizza. When i went to pick up, they opened the pizza box to show me the pizza like restaurants often do. My thought was “now THATS a veggie pizza “. So many different vegetables, not just the usual. And delicious. A little pricey but highly recommend.

This place has free parking, which is a plus and has a semi-“romantic” ambiance (sort of a Jersey feel to it). Service is ok but the waiter struggled with taking our order. Food was ok but not something that will draw us back. No major issues, just not for me. For an appetizer we had eggplant with tomato sauce, my wife had spaghetti with meatballs, son fettuccine alla Erma, and me a white pizza. Frankly flavors were not that impressive for any of the food and my pizza crust was tough. Just not a keeper.
