I went to Lubrano’s the other night and tried the spicy rigatoni and the Spicy Bee pizza. The rigatoni had a really good kick to it. It was creamy, a little spicy, and the pasta was cooked perfectly. It wasn’t overpowering, just enough heat to keep it interesting. The Spicy Bee pizza was probably my favorite. The mix of spicy and sweet from the honey actually worked really well, and the crust had that nice crisp but still soft inside. Definitely coming back to order that again. Hands down the best Italian restaurant in the area. 10/10.

Exceptional. Exquisite. Bravo. Man, service was impeccable, professional, and attentive. It felt like fine dining attention to detail and presentation.

We had Nonna’s meatball starter. Was superb. Probably could’ve just ordered that as the meal. Everything is so fresh and homemade. The marinara and trifecta of cheeses was simply phenomenal.

We got pizzas to follow and they did not disappoint. Perfect crust with a slight crunch and bend, perfect cheese, delicious sauce. I got pepperoni and cherry peppers and that was a great combo, my date got Italian sausage pizza and raved as well.

Highly recommend. Ambience is very nice and I almost forgot the complimentary warm bread and herbed olive oil was so good. Perfect experience.

Absolutely fantastic Italian spot! Lubrano’s Trattoria delivers on every level — food, service, and value. We started with the focaccia bread (seriously, don’t skip it…I know some people don’t want to fill up on bread, but just try it! With the spice/olive oil mix to dip) and 1/2 dozen clams oreganata. The clams were incredibly tender and the oreganata topping was some of the best I’ve ever had.

For dinner, I had the rigatoni alla vodka — and as a self-proclaimed vodka sauce snob, I was very impressed. Rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. My dad ordered the parmigiana trio (chicken, veal, and shrimp) and it was excellent. All entrees come with a fresh garden salad — highly recommend trying the balsamic blue cheese dressing, it’s their signature and it’s amazing.

Service here is top tier. Our server was attentive, friendly, and timed the courses beautifully so we never felt rushed. It’s BYOB, which is a great perk, and there’s a liquor store conveniently right next door. Big bonus: they even had root beer for my dad, which made him very happy.

Another huge plus — there’s a big parking lot, which makes getting in and out super easy, especially during busy hours.

The portions are huge (easily enough for leftovers), prices are super reasonable, and the atmosphere is relaxed but still has that elevated, trattoria-style charm. They also offer pizza and slices at the counter if you’re looking for something more casual.

Highly recommend — just be sure to make a reservation!

Ordered takeout for the first time tonight. I ordered pasta fagioli, calamari and Chicken parm. The soup was great the broth has a nice flavor . The calamari was fresh needed salt little bland but good . The chicken parm was executed well they have an excellent Marinara and the cheese was quality. The chicken itself was cooked well and was also quality. The bread which everyone raves about was top notch. Can’t wait to come back and support

The best Italian restaurant in Monmouth County NJ by far!! Delicious food, friendly service, byob and huge portions! My go tos are always the grilled pizza or spicy bee pizza for lunch and the devil’s chicken or spicy garlicky salmon for dinner. Also, cannot go wrong with any of their pasta dishes!

Lubrano’s Trattoria never disappoints. The food is absolutely amazing — every dish was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. But what really made our night stand out was the exceptional service from Nico. He went above and beyond the entire evening, from his recommendations to his attention to detail. You can tell he genuinely cares about making sure guests have a great experience.

Me and my friends had an incredible time, and we left already talking about when we’re coming back. Highly recommend!

We first discovered Lubrano’s by chance while heading down the Shore one summer, and it quickly became a place we return to year-round. Living in Staten Island, we’re no strangers to great Italian food or quick trips into NYC, yet we consistently choose to make the 40-minute drive to Lubrano’s with friends and family. The food is outstanding and easily holds its own against many Italian restaurants in Staten Island and New York City—at a much more reasonable price. The drive is easier, more affordable, and the BYOB is a great bonus. The Lubrano family clearly takes pride in what they do, and it shows in every visit. Reservations are a must, as they’re packed seven days a week. Between friends and family, we’ve created quite a fan base, and every guest we’ve brought has loved it just as much. Oh and they have possibly the absolute best Homemade bread and best Chicken Parm i have ever tasted anywhere and I’m a chicken parm snob.

Food fantastic! Like some of THE best Italian ever. Scampi. Five Stars bread same. Pasta. Omg that pasta was fantastic. Service just wasn’t as good as I would like for my first time there, but it was super crazy busy.. still did tip him pretty decently.. given we did eventually get everything we wanted and needed….

I had a long and lovely lunch here today with a great friend. The staff is so welcoming and warm. They were attentive, but didn’t rush us. The food was fresh and delicious. Don’t waste your calories on any other bread on the day you come to Lubrano’s. Save them so you can enjoy their fresh, hot, tasty bread with herbs and Extra Virgin Olive Oil! You will be glad you did! Then, do yourself a favor and eat a cannoli. I have never had a better cannoli in my life, and trust me, I’ve had my share! Go to Lubrano’s, get treated like a valued and respected customer while you try to finish all the food they’re going to serve you-but remember to save room for the bread and the cannoli! You can walk a few laps around the parking lot afterwards!
