Our son works for an engineering firm in Delaware so we met up with him for lunch at MI Cerrito. EVERYTHING was excellent! Easy street parking, no wait, comfortable booth, outstanding waiter and we all loved the food. Great experience, fair prices.

First visit. Started with hot tortilla chips with two outstanding salsas and guacamole. Next, the volcanoes/toastada with chicken & beef. Chicken, beef, and pork tacos. All very good, with the exception they overcooked the beef taco. Overall, excellent food and will definitely return.

I asked, and the request was honored to add chorizo to the fajita nachos. Could have used a bit more queso on them though. The last couple chips were actually dry. With a 2-hour drive after the meal, I didnt get the margarita I wanted and I didn’t get any refills on the water I was drinking.

Another hidden gem in Delaware…
I tend to be a little critical of Mexican restaurants because there are so many of them, and most are mediocre. Mi Cerrito is one of the good ones. The decor is nice and it is not too noisy. The service was really good. The food was awesome – I had a burrito with rice and salad, which I really enjoyed. Wifie had the chori Pollo, which she absolutely loved. We found the place by accident but it was a great experience.

Super delicious burritos! I came here for lunch and was out of there in 20 minutes, it was super quick. My server was quiet, but he was very efficient. I was working at the library that day, and this was an easy walk from there. I got the two burritos, one was chicken and one was ground beef, and they were sweet enough to bring some chips and salsa when I sat down, even though it was just me.

We have gone to this restaurant several times over many years but less and less often over the course of time as the food and service has gotten worse and the prices have sharply increased! This last experience was extremely disappointing and probably won’t be going back. I ordered the Pollo Loco and the serving size of the meal was extremely small!! The chicken was probably 4oz., and the rice was maybe 1oz. The meal had very little taste and the cheese they used was poor quality. The service was also slow and not very friendly. There are numerous Mexican restaurants in the area that all offer larger portions, tastier food, better service at a better value!

Done wasting my time giving this place chances. The first time, I ordered a quesadilla and found hair in it. The second time, the fajita quesadilla came drenched in juice and completely soggy. Horrible quality and quantity. Tiny portions that are overpriced. Do not recommend and won’t be ordering again.

Upon leaving Delaware State Park we were hungry and found this amazing restaurant. The food was great and well seasoned. For starters we had crab dip and the seafood nachos. We also ordered the Berry Sangria with fruit medley and blue Berry mango magarita! The dip was not cheesy, it was fresh real 100% crab meat, spinach, and a sauce! It was great! The seafood nachos were piled with real crab meat, large scallops, and jumbo shrimp along with Pico and a nice drizzling of cheese. All cooked to perfection. For dinner we had La Mexicana and LA Texacana Fajita. LA Mexicana had ribeye well seasoned with tomatoes and onions, a bed of rice and pinto beans. Yummy! The Texacana fajita had chicken, jumbo shrimp, and beef trio seasoned and cooked to pefection…it came out sizzling! Very tasty and the portions were big! The drinks were amazing, fresh fruit, tasty, and a great balance of liquor and fruit.

Pretty good food and drinks. It’s a small space and the dining area was mostly full. However I expected more sincere attention from the wait staff. It’s not that she didn’t take our order and handle everything promptly. It’s the fact that she seemed distracted or uninterested in our experience. We were there for the first time to celebrate my birthday and she didn’t even acknowledge that when I said it. Based on our first and only experience with this restaurant, I would not recommend it for a special celebration. I may have to try it again to see if that Sunday afternoon was just a fluke.

We stopped in on our way through town and it was absolutely delicious! I ordered the homemade guacamole and the tropical carnitas burrito. both were amazing and were delivered to our table FAST! Our waitress even got us Togo drinks for our drive. Highly recommend
