Mild salsa and chips was the hit starter to begin with! main courses were in very good quality and quantity too. Nicely done , crunchy sauté veggies, good quality oil and ingredients used . Good location, close to highway, very big inside , good customer service and surprisingly best value for quality food in busy location

We had an excellent dinner, 3 taquito’s with rice, beans & salad & a pink Cadillac margarita.. my husband had 2 chicken enchiladas with rice, beans, salad & a golden Cadillac margarita. The food was delicious & the margaritas did not skimp on the tequila! The staff was awesome, our waiter S G was pleasant & right there if you had any questions. I highly recommend this place if you want an authentic Mexican dinner.

My husband and I were just passing through and had a craving for Mexican food. So glad we did! The atmosphere is authentic, the food and drink were amazing, great menu and great prices too. The chips and salsa were fresh and definitely house made! Our waiter Christian was one of the best waiters we’ve ever had! Everyone was friendly and welcoming, we left full and happy, wishing we had them in our town.

My wife and my grandson are I had been shopping all afternoon and I have been craving Mexican food so my grandson recommended El Charro, he had been there with our son and said it was really good. What I liked right off was the Mexican decor and design of the restaurant, it felt like we were actually in Mexico.
Trevor had the 2 cheese Quesadillas, my wife had the BBQ pork enchiladas and I had the 2 enchiladas meal, one chicken and one beef. These meals came with rice and beans, mine came with a House salad and there was a bowl of chips on our table with 2 dips. Our food was amazing, our server was pleasant and always present and like stated before, the restaurant itself made you feel like you were in Mexico. El Charo also has a nice bar and pretty good sized dining room with plenty of parking. Overall this was a nice experience, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to family and friends, and we will be back!!

Relaxing atmosphere and nice decor. My server, Christian, was excellent; gave good advice and brought my meal nice and hot. The chips and salsas were delicious as was my Chili Relleno!

The last time I went to El Charro Avitia would have been in about 1984 or 1985. I was just a kid. We moved away and although I’ve been back in Nevada for a long time, I have driven past it and thought to myself “You know I should really stop there and get a Mexican pizza.” Today, I finally did!
Although nothing in the restaurant looks dated, it still felt very familiar. Just as my parents my parents did the last time I was here, I ordered the Mexican pizza. I was overwhelmed with how huge it is! But when I bit into it and tasted it, the memory of having a meal with my parents as a young person came flooding back.
How they’ve maintained such quality and even the same flavor for the last 40 plus years just blows me away. I’ll be back at another time to try something else.

I went to have dinner with my girlfriend last night and the food was definitely delicious, food was amazing. Our server Christian suggested the blood orange margarita and the pineapple coconut margarita which was absolutely fabulouS. He was very intentive, insightful and funny. We will definitely be coming back and requesting him as server. Love this place!
