Before it was owned by the new owners the bagels were outstanding I used to come from Venice to get them but they changed something and they have no taste hopefully they go back to the old recipe will not make a special trip there again

Made my 1st visit since the new ownership and I must say I am very disappointed. Not only have the bagels dropped in quality, tasting similar to the fake cake bagels you get at Publix, but their new ordering process is terrible. No more telling the clerk what bagels you want and actually watching them put them in the bag. You give your order to one person, then rely solely on another person reading the ticket and hoping they get put the correct bagels in your bag. Do you think I’m going to rummage through a bag full of 12-20 bagels at the counter checking that every bagel I asked for was in there? . Unfortunately I will not be returning. Sad to say but if things don’t change, I give them a year or two at most.

New owners and management are poor. Service has gone down, quality has gone down. Went today to get some bagels and they didn’t even make the eggs fresh, I literally watched the lady take a precooked egg, put it on the flat top to heat it up and then put on my bagel, instead of making it fresh like they use to. This bagel shop use to be my go to spot and has been for years, don’t believe we will be returning unfortunately. Wish they’d bring the old employees and owners back, they at least took pride in their business.

This used to be the best bagel shop in Sarasota. Been coming here for almost 10 years. It’s a shame that the original owner sold. Quality and service has dipped since the new owner took over. Staff has trouble getting orders correct. It’s just not the same that it once was and has lost a long time customer.

So the last time I went here, the girl at the register voiced she didn’t know the menu too well when someone asked her about an item. She seemed ok when I got there but still when I got home the order seemed to be someone else’s or it was wrong. I can’t tell since I didn’t get a receipt. Today, I gave it another shot but they discontinued my wheat everything and gave my wife two bottoms of bagels. I mean, I didn’t love the last ownership but my food was right usually. I’ll probably stop coming to this location

Very busy place and quick to get your food! My husband got the nova lox with a garlic and onion bagel he added cream cheese, purple onion, tomato, and capers. He loved it so much that the next morning he had to go back for another one. I had the BLT on Wheat everything bagel. It was really good.

Used to love this place, been going for 20+ years. Sad to say 4/23/2023 visit was awful. New owners? Changed everything up inside, that’s fine. However, food quality has declined and new employees are seemingly very confused. Did not receive correct order and paid for extra toppings which were not applied. Bagels didn’t seem like they were even cooked/toasted. Sad to say it but I don’t think this Sarasota staple will last with so many changes so quickly. Too much too fast. probably won’t go back unfortunately.
