Lovi’s Delicatessen in Calabasas is a standout gem for breakfast and lunch enthusiasts seeking hearty, flavorful fare. From the moment you step inside, the welcoming ambiance, infused with the comforting aroma of freshly prepared dishes, sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience.

Their breakfast menu is a true delight, offering a range of traditional favorites with a fresh, satisfying twist. Whether you’re in the mood for fluffy scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, or perfectly toasted bagels, Lovi’s ensures each item bursts with flavor. The quality and freshness of the ingredients shine through, making even the simplest dishes memorable.

When it comes to lunch, Lovi’s truly excels. Their matzoh ball soup is a must-try—rich, savory broth brimming with tender matzoh balls that are light yet hearty, providing that classic comfort food experience. The wings are another highlight, cooked to perfection with a crispy exterior and juicy, flavorful interior, perfect for sharing (or savoring solo!).

Lovi’s sandwiches deserve special mention. Generous portions of premium deli meats, fresh vegetables, and artisan breads come together in a symphony of taste and texture. Whether you opt for a classic pastrami on rye or a more adventurous creation, each bite is a testament to their dedication to quality and flavor.

Overall, Lovi’s Delicatessen is more than just a dining spot—it’s a culinary haven where traditional deli favorites are elevated with care and expertise. The friendly service, inviting atmosphere, and consistently delicious food make it a must-visit in Calabasas for breakfast or lunch. Don’t miss out on their matzoh ball soup, wings, and sandwiches—they’re nothing short of amazing!

Lovey’s Deli is one of those places that just gets it right. The service is awesome, the atmosphere is really good, and the food hits exactly how you want a deli to hit.

The Reuben is delightful, and somehow actually fits in your mouth, which feels rare these days. You can also grab a drink there, which is always a plus and makes it an easy hang, not just a quick bite.

And do not skip the onion rings with ranch. They’re killer.

Great vibes, solid food, and a place you’ll want to come back to.

Absolutely love this deli! Never been disappointed. And we come every couple of months when we want a good sandwich or some amazing blintzes. Also doesn’t hurt that my daughter loves the flower sign outside

We were in California for five nights and ended up eating at Lovies four of those nights — that should tell you everything right there! The matzo ball soup is absolutely incredible, the turkey and stuffing made us feel like we were having Thanksgiving dinner at home, and the corned beef and cabbage was one of the best we’ve ever had. Our nine-year-old wanted pancakes and loved them so much he ordered them twice!

The service was just as amazing as the food — friendly, warm, and genuine. The whole place gives off that small-town, everyone-knows-your-name kind of feeling. By the end of the trip, we felt like locals.

As Arizona real estate agents who spend a lot of time in both states (we’re The Grandon Group — Arizona’s #1 brother-and-sister real estate team), we know a good neighborhood hangout when we see one. Lovies is definitely that spot in Calabasas — comfort food, great people, and an atmosphere that makes you want to come back again and again.

I met a friend here for lunch. It’s a large, bright, clean restaurant with super friendly staff. They have an extensive menu with lots of deli items and comfort foods. I had the chicken noodle soup and a side of latkes, my friend had the half and half with a half a turkey sandwich and soup. The chicken soup comes with a choice of noodles or rice. It was fresh tasting, not too salty and had plenty of chicken. Unfortunately, my latkes were overcooked, dry and hard – I didn’t eat them beyond tasting and was very disappointed. My friend’s Turkey sandwich half was stacked. It had lots of Turkey and fresh veggies – it’s the kind you have to smash to get into your mouth – much like you’d get in New York – it looked delicious! She also enjoyed her soup. Their bakery is impressive – I grabbed two cookies, a Snickerdoodle and a Shortbread with sprinkles. Both were fresh and not too sweet which is just how I like them. I will definitely go back again and I may even give the latkes another shot – I have a feeling this was a one off error.

I’ve been eager to try this place every time I’m in the area for business, and today was finally the day. Inside, the atmosphere buzzed with energy, like a chaotic orchestra in the kitchen as I took a seat at the counter. What intrigued me immediately was the unique pairing of bagel chips with pickles. Although I don’t typically enjoy pickles, I found myself delighted by their flavor and could easily eat them again. I ordered the Garlic Melt with Pastrami, and as I bit into the sandwich, the pastrami melted in my mouth—pure deliciousness. I can’t wait to return and embrace new culinary adventures.

The place looks quite upscale from the outside, and the service initially seemed promising. However, the experience didn’t live up to it. Our waitress was in a hurry to go on her break and handed us over to another staff member who didn’t pay much attention to us. It took 15 minutes just to get a bottle of water, which was frustrating.

When two people are ordering four portions of pancakes, the staff should’ve mentioned how massive they were. The food overall was disappointing—the pancakes and sandwich were bland, the meat was dry, and the honey tasted watery. The coffee was just okay, and even though they had a large selection of pastries, none stood out.

If I return, it would only be for a coffee and maybe a pastry not the rest of the menu.

First time at Lovi’s and I was disappointed with the quality of the food. My egg salad on French bread had no taste and the bread was stale, not fresh at all. My boyfriend had a chicken wrap and he wasn’t impressed also. I was so put off by the food that I didn’t even want to try their desserts. The vibe in the patio outside was nice but was disturbed by a worker cleaning and dragging all the chairs one by one which made talking very difficult among all the loud noise.
I don’t think we will go back.

LIFE IS BETTER WITH FRIENDS!
Sunday afternoons have spent with good friends eating great food, since, The Villain announced our upcoming divorce.
I have best support group ever! They’ve been introducing me to some great restaurants! So far, Lovi’s is my favorite! Huge variety, delicious food and fabulous service!!! My favorite is the Chopped Italian Salad! I also have tried their chicken salad sandwich that is stacked high with the tastiest chicken salad!
Thank you Lovi’s for helping me heal my heart!
