We were excited when Louie’s was bought by the Rothmann’s group (which runs Rothmann’s Steak House & several Matteo’s). They recently finished their renovation and reopened and we have been thrilled with the results! I have included a number on interior photos and can’t wait for summer when we can dine outside on the water! The staff was very welcoming when we arrived and service couldn’t have been better. Their bar, in the middle of a large room with a view of the water, is beautiful Cocktails are well-crafted and delicious. Their calamari and sushi couldn’t have been more fresh! I had the komodo roll (salmon, spicy tuna and more) and it was layered in a way I haven’t experienced before- wonderful and filling! Their fish and chips were crispy and not oily, as were the fries. They offered malt vinegar (for authentic British taste) with them as well as tartar sauce. For dessert, we had the coconut layer cake that was outrageously good. It’s a tad pricey, but you do get incredibly fresh and delicious food and drinks in a clean, open and airy space. We can’t wait to go back!

Small local neighborhood spot with a lot of heart. It was busy when I arrived—I had the option to wait for a booth or sit at the counter. The staff were friendly and fast-paced, greeting me with a smile and staying very attentive. My coffee was never empty!
The food tasted clean and fresh—nothing too salty or greasy—and the menu offered plenty of options. I especially loved that they carried milk alternatives. The bathrooms were clean, and the semi-open kitchen let you watch the chefs at work depending on where you sit.
Overall, the food felt homemade and comforting, with an old-school, family-friendly vibe that makes you feel welcome the moment you’re seated.

While in Manassett NY, I did what I do best, I Yelped and found Louie’s. No fluff, no fillers direct and concise.
Louie”s is what’s in. They serve delicious breakfast, lunch, or dinners. The service is top notch and very classy. The atmosphere is casual elegance. The decor sets a cool vibe. The service you received wI’ll be, a warm greeting, discreet attention, and detailed explanations.

Louie’s is a great local diner. Came on a Wednesday night and the restaurant was bustling. The prices are average and the food is good, with big portions. The food also came out in only six minutes despite the full restaurant. The atmosphere is great, with a recently renovated interior and comfortable and cozy booth seating.

My Fiancé recently took me here for my birthday after they renovated this summer and it was amazing! I had been here once before about 2 years ago but the new look is really classy and the food is delicious . Our servers Sheikh and Timo were fantastic! I highly recommended this place it is a port Washington staple and it will not let you down.

Louie was my waiter. What a gentleman. Very kind, helpful and understanding. I had a burger and fries along with some mozzarella sticks for an early breakfast on a road trip. I ate every last bite. So delicious. What an awesome experience.

This was my first time here. The restaurant is small, but clean, the food is delicious, and the staff is friendly.

Food quality was POOR.
Manhattan Clam Chowder HAD NO CLAMS – just potatoes.
My fench fries were from bottom of container – I got the stubbies.
My partner’s fried were much better and longer.
Service was very good – however food was below average.
My gyro was ok – big portions of meat.
What really disappointed was my partner’s soup being so disappointing.

Let me preface by saying I’m from the Midwest where coffee comes free, we have way more options for sides and quality is just 100x better… I really pity my family who stayed in NY. I got the manhasset omelette which was good, but cutting up links vs using straight ground sausage is poor form. Sourdough was probably the worst I’ve ever had, but I’m use to fresh baked from family starters, and what’s with the cheap jelly packs? Gross. Asked for double crisped hash browns and knew they’d mess that up, so asked for sausage gravy to add flavor… no sausage gravy and yup, they screwed ir up. No seasoning, no flavor and definitely not extra crispy. The feeling was pretty mutual around the table, including from my family who still lives here. They said, what are you gonna do, were use to it. WOW, use to blah quality? Thank goodness I moved. And what’s with a 3% charge for credit cards? They don’t do that in the Midwest, nor in Europe or any other part of the world. Bad food, mediocre service, and over charging? Demand better NY.
