Usually I come here and I get some amazing tacos but this last time I went there my taco was drenched in oil to the point it made my tortillas wet and it tasted like oil which was not pleasant at all.

Favorite tacos in CT by far! The steak is so good. Has a nice char on the outside, tender on the inside. Affordable prices. Nice chips with 3 different sauces to dip. Much recommended this spot!

A genuine Mexican Bodega – in Norwalk.
Here’s something I didn’t expect to find in CT – a good old-fashioned authentic-as-they-come Mexican bodega, complete with a tacqueria in the back where you can get some of the best tacos you’ll find this side of Mexico City!
So, it’s like your usual Bodega – You order in the back (in Spanish. Otherwise they get flustered, and then go find someone who speaks English. Then again “dos Tacos al pastor” ), and pay in the front when you’re all done.
In between, you get wait for your tacos (or sopas, or plates, or whatever), and once you get them, load them up w/ whatever you need (lime and salsa for sure!) from the salsa bar, and then demolish the lot in a couple of quick bites!

Do note, the orange salsa at the salsa bar is DOOM. Be warned.
Then again, the radishes and limes help recover from DOOM.

Anyhow, experiment if you can. The lengua and tripa are off the charts, as is, well, everything else. Do note though, the cuaritos and carnitas are pretty fried, so you’ll need a lot of lime/radish/salsa to get it to the right place

The bottom line though is that this place is legit. I’ve been looking for it since I left Chicago, and now I’ve found it – have fun!!!

Massive portions. Got the beef torta sandwich for breakfast on a whim because my pregnant self was going to pass out if I didn’t get food and WOW massive sandwich, super fresh (beef was cooked to order), and very tasty. Not greasy and not dry. Definite going back for more!

Drove from Waterbury, Ct to Norwalk hoping to find my favorite taco place still alive. When arrived they had a taco truck right outside and I was a bit confused, when I went inside they had the kitchen where they make the tacos closed and a few tables cramped into the corner of the store I could barely get thru. When I asked for a menu I saw the tacos were $ 4 each, I thought would be worth it id they tasted the same as I remember, since I was raving to my husband about this place since I used to visit here when I was a kid. First of all they brought my food from the truck and it was cold. The guy had no patience and left my food at another table. I ordered 3 tacos and a torta and a cheese quesadilla. The torta had mustard and stacked with lettuce that kept falling off everywhere no avocado. The tacos were bland terribly. I got chicken, Al pastor and chorizo. The chorizo was black and tasted old and like a slim Jim very chewy too. The chicken was horrible and the Al pastor didn’t even have pineapples. The quesadilla was plain and when I asked for sour cream the lady gave me attitude cause now she had to walk all the way to the truck as if this was my fault when I had mentioned to her when I ordered. Very terrible experience don’t go here. Very disappointed.

The food is good but the girl who takes the orders will give you what she wants and not what you ordered.
Went there twice last week and I ordered 3 tacos and she gave me the ones she wanted, same the second occasion she didn’t told me they didn’t have the meat I asked for and she gave me what came to her instead of asking me.
Also she gave my husband the run around when he asked for spoons.
Terrible.

They do a really good job at servicing people during lunch hours in the work week. I never have to wait more than 10-15 minutes when I call ahead. I have order the steak, chicken, and shrimp tacos and a steak and chicken burrito, all at different times. I tend to favor their burritos more then their tacos. I tend to order the chicken because I feel at times their steak is harder to chew. They also have an array of drinks, snacks, and desserts to go as well.
