Finally a nice Spanish restaurant in town. Fresh Guacamole, crisp fresh chips. We ordered the plantains which were seasoned and cooked just right. The Carne Asada was also seasoned well. Staff was friendly and professional. Definitely recommend a visit.

Pretty presentation of food. All aspects of meal were great – delicious rice and refried black beans along with creative enchiladas. Authentic Mexican menu with entrees you might not find at most Mexican restaurants and certainly not at chain restaurants. Most meals range from $10 – $16. I hope Los Molcajetes is successful in their new home, which has limited seating, but sparkling clean, new decor.

not sure what these other reviews are from.. This place opened in Tuxedo in early April 2023, so any reviews prior to that are not applicable. I’ve given this place 4-5 chances and every time it is continuously bland. By far the most bland mexican food i’ve ever had – to the point where i add my own seasonings at home. Additionally, the menu is not accurate at all. There are items on the menu labeled as “served with fries”, however they do not come with fries. One time i called around lunch time and tried ordering a torta, but they did not have any bread. So i asked for birria tacos, but they did not have birria. I ended up giving their other tacos another try, and they were so bland (go figure). Another time i ordered nachos – the menu says the nachos include items like “melted mozzerella, chopped jalapenos, guacamole”, however it was served with hardly any cheese at all, the cheese they used was not mozzerella, it was a shredded yellow cheese clearly out of a bag from the store, 0 jalapenos, 0 guacamole, and hardly any meat. it was 80% beans on top of chips with lettuce and tomato. Just consistantly horrible food time and time again, and if you’re going to make a menu at least make it accurate!

Got the meatball parm and it’s quite good! Cheap and tasty, exactly what you want after a day hiking in Harriman. It’s a convenience store as well so a good place to pick up some snacks and drinks beforehand if you didn’t pack enough
