I was curious if it was going to meet my expectations based on the reviews. It was really good. I got the queso with beef and guacamole and it was some of the best I’ve had. The beef fajita chimichanga was spot on as well. I am kind of a snob with Mexican food so I would highly reccomend.

Solid Tex Mex at a good price. Fast friendly service in a clean restaurant. This place has been around for a while so you won’t find the newest trends in restaurant design or appointments, but will will find a great meal at a great price served in a clean friendly environment. I’ve seen lots of comments that the salsa is bland or from a can. This is not true. It is a simple recipe with few ingredients that has been in this area for years. I, for one, really like the salsa.

Best TxMex in Gainesville! The waiter we had was amazing, professional, and friendly. Queso, salsa all so good. And who doesn’t love Carne Assad tacos with Mexican Coke?! It was all so delicious and very filling!

Ok food. $11.99 fajitas look more like $8. But they did feed both my husband and myself. Salsa has a fruity ending taste that isn’t what I like but it’s ok. Queso is ok but a little thin/watery. Service was good and hopping busy. Bean and cheese nachos were just as expected and tasty. Tea is good. Water is good.

I used to love this place, but my most recent visit will be my last. The taquitos were so crispy the meat was crunchy, and the chef salad was underwhelming and served with a choice of unappetizing ranch dressing. We ordered it over the phone and picked it up curbside, so we expected it to be not as good as it is when it’s fresh out of the kitchen, but I’m 100% sure it wouldn’t have tasted good that way either. Frozen taquitos from a box cooked in the oven taste better than that. Their salsa, queso and guacamole taste good, though. I was really craving Los Mariachis, too, but that will be the last time I eat their food.
