The adventure of hunting for great food in unusual places is an art. Diving through reviews of past diners, comparing notes from Yelp and Google and looking a menu pictures – you’d think we were researching a science project. However on occasion you have to take the risk, make split second decisions and all you have is a map and a place and a number and then you win the lottery and discover a place like Los Mariachis in a town called Glenpool which we had never known about until we passed right through it. We had almost resigned ourselves to a chain like Chick-Fil-A given the general scenery around Glenpool as we set off on a drive from Tulsa with a hunger only outdone by the cold outside. Los Mariachis is a one awesome place and if I were in Glenpool I’d be here every day for lunch. We sampled all kinds of tacos and I am not a taco lover but this was other wordly and this is no exaggeration. Little tacos each with its unique option and flavor – chicken, steak, tilapia, shrimp. The salsa was HOT as it should be. The place is well cared for and the staff were so nice and they made our day when they graciously offered one of us a birthday treat for dessert. Glenpool – you got what Dallas ain’t. We hope to see you again soon on our journeys… Muchas Gracias por la comida y el servicio.

The whitest carna asada i think I have ever had. The skirt was burnt The sides bland. And honestly it was dry. I had to use the table salsa just to try and eat it. Honestly I’m sure the restaurant can improve but the is 130 on a Saturday and I’m just not happy.

This is our new favorite Mexican restaurant in the area! Service is always good, and the food is amazing. We have gotten multiple items there and it is always excellent. Their Nachos Deluxe is so good (and I’m picky when it comes to nachos!) and feeds a lot of people. My husband swears their chimichangas are the best he has ever had. And the frozen magaritas – wow! The prices are really good too, so it’s just a win-win night when we go there for dinner!

This is the real deal! Excellent, huge portions. Awesome service – they really hustle and are attentive. Best and freshest guacamole I think we’ve had. They make their corn tortillas (at least) fresh on-site. The interior is much larger inside than it looks to be from the outside. Spacious table layout. High, open ceiling. Nice patio.

This is me and my wife’s favorite restaurant! Food is always consistent and amazing every time. Service is always excellent. If you are a bodybuilder or work out and want a good post-workout meal, you are guaranteed a good amount of protein with just about any meal. Great for leg day!

First time to visit this establishment. We went as a work group of 12 and had a great time. So good we didn’t even get our group photo or any of our food! But don’t worry, anything you order is worth it! There were carnitas street tacos, mucho tres amigos nachos, chimis, quesadillas, a burrito the size of the plate, sexy senorita drinks, margaritas, sodas, crown shots chips salsa and queso joined together with friendship and laughter!! The service was on point. The outside dinning perfect. Definitely worth the drive!

I had no idea this place existed until my coworker—who, judging by the way he ordered without even glancing at the menu, might as well have his name on a plaque here—introduced me to it. Walking in, I was immediately impressed. The décor? Contemporary-modern, I think. Whatever it is, it works. It’s stylish without trying too hard, the kind of balance that suggests someone put real thought into it. Now, if only the menu followed suit…
Because the moment I opened it, I knew I was in trouble. A menu should be an invitation, not a homework assignment. Pages upon pages of options—each dish having three or four variations—left me mentally exhausted before I even placed my order. A truly great restaurant knows its strengths and sticks to them. If you need a table of contents to navigate your own menu, you’re doing too much.
After a small eternity of decision-making, I went with the ceviche plate. And to my relief, it was a home run. I usually don’t gamble on ceviche unless someone swears by it, but this time, I trusted my instincts—and I’m glad I did. Fresh, bright, well-balanced. A dish that knew exactly what it was supposed to be. If only the menu could take some notes.
Naturally, I made my usual bathroom check, and I have to give credit where it’s due—spotless. And this was during peak hours, when restrooms often become an afterthought. Whatever system they have in place is working, and I respect that attention to detail.
Now, for my one real gripe: the music. It wasn’t bad, but it was there. Loud enough that my business meeting started feeling like a shouting match. A restaurant’s background music should do just that—stay in the background. If I’m straining to hear the person across from me, it’s no longer ambiance, it’s interference.
Overall, there’s real potential here. The food delivers, the space is inviting, and the cleanliness is commendable. But a streamlined menu and a slight volume adjustment would take this place from “great” to “exceptional.” I’ll be back—after a quick speed-reading course to prep for the menu.

We normally go to the location in Broken Arrow but we were in the Jenks area and decided to try them. Unfortunately we were a little disappointed. We split the shrimp tacos as we weren’t extremely hungry. The tacos weren’t bad but the rice that came with was extremely bland. It’s a clean and fairly quiet place, I just wish the food had been as good as we are used to in Broken Arrow.
