The French onion soup was salty and messy; packed with too many croutons.
The Chilean Sea Bass was disappointing; small portions, thin and tasteless.
The Veal Oscar was interesting; good size portion but over breaded. I think the Crab was canned, not fresh. The asparagus was over cooked and the plating was old style.
The atmosphere is nice but the carpet definitely needs to be replaced.
Service was chaotic but I think we caught them on a bad night. The hostess informed us we were marked as a no show, but our reservation was mixed up on their end. They did ultimately get us a table within about 10min of arriving which was appreciated. The table itself was in an unlit area, every other table in the room had a lamp over it. I think management should really consider adding a lamp or at least a candle. We had trouble reading our menus due to how dark it was. I think the darkness ultimately lead to our delay in a waiter. Couldn’t see us? Lol.
Either way, we ended up having a great meal, and will be back! We will however politely decline to be seated at that dark table if it’s given to us again.
Waitress has not checked in on me since she took the order.
Waitress excuse was that they lost her ticket .
So she bring the French onion soup out which was barely warm.
Update almost an hour later she bring the food out and said she was helping other customers .
Zero updates from waitress while I was sitting there.
The prime rib queen cut is just enough if you don’t want to sweat, and if you don’t have room for a box
The French onion soup, baked, is in fact salty. But the cheese is charred delightfully and there are solid chunks of bread floating in it which make every bite a nice mystery.
We really liked this place.
Was told baked French onion soup was an upcharge in place of soup or salad with dinner, only to find out it was actually not an upcharge but a completely separate charge of $10.39….so we skipped the salad included with dinner, only to be told after dinner that we could have got it. Then waitress said she’d give us a salad to go. What?!
Just a bit bizarre and just felt waitress was trying to run up the bill instead of being straightforward. Disappointed by service mainly, and filet needs improvement. Primerib was great. Atmosphere was very nice as well.
We ordered the prime rib, cooked to perfection and very tender! We also had the stuffed mushrooms, which were delicious, you will see the empty dish they were in! Nice sized salad, tasty warm bread and huge baked potato. Too full to order dessert! New wait staff, she was very attentive! We will be back to dine in, try other drinks and get dessert!
Update: prime rib good, tiramisu delish and lemon drop martini
