Wonderful service. Nice view of the marina. The food is good but not great; dated… welcome back to the 1980s.
The French onion soup was salty and messy; packed with too many croutons.
The Chilean Sea Bass was disappointing; small portions, thin and tasteless.
The Veal Oscar was interesting; good size portion but over breaded. I think the Crab was canned, not fresh. The asparagus was over cooked and the plating was old style.
The atmosphere is nice but the carpet definitely needs to be replaced.

Got seated outside which we requested. The tables are not meant for tall people. I kept hitting my knees on the table support bar and it was uncomfortable. The view was pleasant. There were lots of spiders outside. Do not order the escargot, it’s inedible. The mushrooms were okay, edible but I wouldn’t order them again. Surprisingly the shrimp was cooked well. The French onion soup was gross, it had way too much salt and I love salt. It tasted like bouillon, onions and salt. The lobster was over cooked or tasted like it had been sitting under a heating lamp for 30 minutes, definitely not worth the extra $100 for just the lobster. The prime rib was decent, I’d order it again but it didn’t come with horseradish nor were we offered any. Service for outdoors was unorganized. We had 3 different waiters complete to be our waiter. We felt bad for the ones that did not serve us first.

Food was delicious! My partner ordered the prime rib and lobster, he enjoyed it very much. I ordered the veal Marsala and it was just as good. The calamari as a starter was also delicious, and then the complimentary bread and butter had me wanting to eat the entire load myself!
Service was chaotic but I think we caught them on a bad night. The hostess informed us we were marked as a no show, but our reservation was mixed up on their end. They did ultimately get us a table within about 10min of arriving which was appreciated. The table itself was in an unlit area, every other table in the room had a lamp over it. I think management should really consider adding a lamp or at least a candle. We had trouble reading our menus due to how dark it was. I think the darkness ultimately lead to our delay in a waiter. Couldn’t see us? Lol.
Either way, we ended up having a great meal, and will be back! We will however politely decline to be seated at that dark table if it’s given to us again.

Service is really slow this is a Thursday night and they not even that busy. Got my app like almost right away, but been waiting 30mins for my French onion soup. Wonder when the swordfish will actually come out or will the bring the French onion soup with the swordfish?
Waitress has not checked in on me since she took the order.
Waitress excuse was that they lost her ticket .
So she bring the French onion soup out which was barely warm.
Update almost an hour later she bring the food out and said she was helping other customers .
Zero updates from waitress while I was sitting there.

We came here on a mission to receive the prime rib known by people’s mouths nationally. After reading multiple mixed reviews on the French onion soup, we thought we must try this too. As avid French onion soup makers, and ancestry from Denmark, we felt we had something to share. It was a rainy day, and we had driven 14 hours from home. For the holiday. And then an additional hour to enjoy a fine dining meal.
The prime rib queen cut is just enough if you don’t want to sweat, and if you don’t have room for a box
The French onion soup, baked, is in fact salty. But the cheese is charred delightfully and there are solid chunks of bread floating in it which make every bite a nice mystery.

We really liked this place.

Service started off good, but then after food arrived didn’t see much of waitress. Primerib was great, filet not so much. Disappointing for price.
Was told baked French onion soup was an upcharge in place of soup or salad with dinner, only to find out it was actually not an upcharge but a completely separate charge of $10.39….so we skipped the salad included with dinner, only to be told after dinner that we could have got it. Then waitress said she’d give us a salad to go. What?!
Just a bit bizarre and just felt waitress was trying to run up the bill instead of being straightforward. Disappointed by service mainly, and filet needs improvement. Primerib was great. Atmosphere was very nice as well.

Beautiful view, best cocktail I’ve ever had, generous portions, professional server, garlic mashed potatoes that actually tasted like garlic (unlike a lot of other places I’ve had them), crisp and fresh vegetables on the salads. Highly recommend.

Nicely decorated restaurant for the holidays.
We ordered the prime rib, cooked to perfection and very tender! We also had the stuffed mushrooms, which were delicious, you will see the empty dish they were in! Nice sized salad, tasty warm bread and huge baked potato. Too full to order dessert! New wait staff, she was very attentive! We will be back to dine in, try other drinks and get dessert!
Update: prime rib good, tiramisu delish and lemon drop martini

We went to Corner House on the Lake for my Birthday and our waitres was Mellisa and she was very attentive and had great suggestions for us as we were so torn on what to order. Nothing was disappointing. We got Calamari and Oysters for an Appetizer. Our meals came with soup or salad. So I got the baked French onion and it was Delicious! Hubby got the salad. They also give you fresh baked bread and oh it’s so delicious!!! I ordered the New York strip medium rare with Cottage fries my steak was perfectly cooked and the cottage fries were very good. The hubby ordered the regular cut of Prime Rib rare to medium rare with garlic mashed potatoes and he said the prime rib was great and so was the garlic mashed potatoes.

We were there in December 18 at 4:30. Found out a new place is opening on Lathrop in February called Marino’s. Our waitress was excellent, very kind, and really on the ball. Food was excellent! So sad they are closing, I have never had a bad meal there, always been top of the line experience!
