The food was OMG so good. The staff are friendly welcoming. After working in the sun taking a break for lunch in a nice cold restaurant is key. A big shout-out to our waitress for laughing at all my dumb jokes…

My boys and I stopped in on a Friday morning and had no issues getting seated right away despite a busy floor. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The area we were sat was clean and everything on the table was fully stocked. Drinks came right away, including a great cup of coffee in a traditional Mexican clay mug. The boys ordered pancakes, which they said were great but I ordered some real food. I got a plate of Migas with fried papas and refried beans. Walking in, the table next to us had two bowls of menudo, so the aroma was pretty hard to resist. I also ordered a small bowl to share. The migas plate was huge. Everything was delicious, well seasoned, great traditional flavors, and ended up having to pack up the menudo because there was so much food. Great visit and nice to have a real Mexican restaurant in a small NM town.

I almost rated this place a 4… we waited for 10-15 minutes just to place a drink order. We were given our menus and left alone- all while every table around us was taken care of. At some point a waitress finally stopped by and decided to just help us out.

Beat Mexican food you’ll find for the area. The waitress was super nice and was very attentive to our big party.

The portions are huge. The menudo grande has a strong smell of stomach tripe that was kind of overwhelming for me. The camarones Al mojo de Ajo is ok.

Party of 7 on a slow Sunday afternoon with very few people inside at tables. The waitress seemingly couldn’t understand any of our questions related to the dishes. Several things were slightly off about our orders and my food in particular was greasy, and extremely salty (and I love salt so to say too salty for me is saying something). It also took 15 minutes to get a glass of water which is a bit of time when you’ve been eating straight salt and you’re 15 feet from the refreshment bar.

We came to have a nice family birthday lunch and there were two drunk guys blasting music to where we couldn’t hear each other talking. All of the staff was incredibly rude and it took a long time to get our drinks. The food tasted old and was very greasy. If you get anything from here get the buffet (we couldn’t due to the buffet having multiple empty trays and no fresh food) I used to love coming here but after this experience I won’t be returning.

Ordered 2 Barbacoa Burritos with El Pastor Tacos and a large Guacamole.. the burritos tasted like Roast Beef with cilantro and onions added.. Tacos were decent, and the beans were dry with no flavor. I ordered a large guacamole because I was craving it and I was disappointed .You can only taste the 2 different onions, the white and the red onions. My order was a pick up so for the guacamole being a large it came in a half filled 8oz coffee cup.. (the guacamole with the tacos was from another local restaurant, not from Los Agaves).
