Ordered what used to be called “Fish and More” which is now a menu number, and includes 2 fried fish, 2 hush puppies, and your choice of 2 of four sides. I chose the Cole Slaw, which was very crisp, nicely seasoned, and tasty. The Waffle Fries were very hot and crispy, as were the hush puppies. The fish was greasy in the breading, but the portions were large. The meal was served with generous packs of ketsup or other sauces as desired, and a generous serving of crispy fried bits as a bed for the fish. The meal was more than enough for me, and I took over half home for another meal, as did my dining partner, who ordered the same. The kind gentleman who took orders and expedited the food was friendly, fast, and accurate. The atmosphere was not outstanding, just regular tables and chairs, which were clean. Signage around the room, both professional and handmade, gave information or promoted different items. Overall, it was acceptable food for a fast food restaurant, served hot and seemingly fresh. The ice tea I ordered had little flavor.

This review is for a visit a while back. LJS is not what it used to be and frankly overpriced; even with a coupon. The corporate minds at these fast food companies need to realize if you’re going to keep raising prices, better make sure the food is better than ever, and not get less! Not bad, yet could be better. At the same time, the service was very good. The lady that waited on me was very friendly and polite. Thank you.

The guy inside taking our order, Tyrese, went out of his way to make sure our meal was great, like checking out order, bringing it to our table, even though I was at the counter, and picking up our trash for us. Excellent service.

went into long John silver at 3:00 was greeted by a young man whom greets my husband and I every time he was and is always pleasant. However we asked if would go to a shrimp bowl with rice and salmon . WE PAID 26.00 for 4 shrimp my husband said he would’ve just got the shrimp bowl . If we order seafood we would prefer to get more seafood than hush puppies as shown in the photo . I was displeased with my chicken platter because it was more crumbs than chicken customer service is good everything else needs work . Normally very clean wasn’t .

I went here and it turned me off of long john silver’s. I ordered the 3 PC chicken with 2 sides meal. There was a hair cooked in the breading of a PC of the chicken. Instead of being truly sorry about it or even admit to the wrong: the girl kept walking in the back while talking on the phone. I only got the amount refunded for the cheaper meal on the ticket. I won’t be back there.

Long John Silver is my go to place when I travel. There are currently none near where I live.My wife and I traveled to Roanoke and on the way out this morning we stopped at the LJS in Vinton. We got the chicken seashare and the chicken was tough and rubbery like it was microwaved. We went through the drive thru as we were headed home. Total disappointment.

Very poor. Wouldn’t recommend this place. Wanted clam meal all fries and very little clams. Requested tartare sauce and vinegar as condiments didn’t receive any. When I called to address issue was told in bottom of bag, well not there or I wouldn’t call. Add to the fact I didn’t receive my receipt. Just very fustrating.
