My family and I stopped at the Columbia city, Indiana location on the way home tonight at around 8pm. My husband stood inside waiting for our food for 40 minutes while the employees played, danced, and clapped in the kitchen area. We just made it home and I found that the chicken pieces were stuck together. They seemed suspicious so I cut into them and let me tell you, I’m just SO GLAD that my husband waited 40 minutes to be given RAW CHICKEN.
I sure hope the employees working had a fantastic time though, because they almost sent my 11 year old to the emergency room with food poisoning. Bravo!!

This facility is filthy. You can skate on the greasy dining room floor. Soda fountain is leaking. Soda sprays down your arm as you try to dispense mountain dew. If the dining room is that disgusting, how is the kitchen and food safety? Had to ask for new cups. The ones handed to me had crumbs crusted on the rim and water spots. I will be leaving my shoes in the garage when I get home. Just gross

Service was fantastic, lobby was clean, food was delicious and came out fast. It is currently the middle of winter and about 35° outside at this location. For some reason, the office manager of this location has decided to leave the air conditioner, blasting cold in the front seating area. I had to go back out to my truck and get an extra coat to put on over my sweater just to be able to eat inside the lobby. I mentioned something to the staff, and they said the heater is broken. I feel very bad for the staff that have to work in this cold weather condition with no heater, but a little confused as to why they would decide to run their air conditioner in the front lobby when it’s already freezing outside. I think it would be better off to leave everything turned off if you don’t have any heat. Air-conditioning is not going to help this issue.

I’ve had good experiences here, but this last one should not have been served out. I ordered a fish/chicken/shrimp combo. When the food was given to me I was informed they were out of tartar sauce. I told them, “you really should tell people that when they order fish. I wouldn’t have ordered this had I known” only to get a dismissive “ok” as a response. Unfortunately, it gets worse. All the food seemed to have set in the warmer too long. Only about 1/2 of it was edible.
I’m a long-time lover of LJS, but the service and food was a great disappointment this time. It’s a shame that I’ll be hesitant to return because LJS has always been a special treat for me.

Went through the drive through. Wanted fish but did not wish to wait. Ordered a chicken sandwich instead. The pickles on my chicken sandwich were bad, like they had sat in water. They did not taste like pickles. My unsweet tea was off as well – super watery. Should have heeded the rating before I went.

I was here on August 30th, 2025. The food was very nasty. Nothing was fresh. I got a two piece chicken meal, and the chicken was so thin it was mostly breading. Would not recommend this place to anyone!!

Went in on a Thursday. They had about 5-6 people working. But of course they were all teenagers. Not one adult in sight. I walked up and greeted the order taker. All he did was give me a dead stare. No hello. No nothing. As I watched him give out orders customers would thank him. Nothing back. Just a stare and walk away. My order took almost an hour. Stupid long for “fast” food. The manager on duty who was also a teenager gave out free cakes for the trouble. I would have rather had my money back. She was nice but she was unable to motivate her other workers. I wouldn’t waste your time here.
