We went here to get food for my family, my 2yr old loves long john silvers and its one of the few things we can get him to eat at times. We ordered 8 pieces of fish and when we arrived we were told that we’d have to wait but we’d get fresh fish for doing so. So we waited. The girl working the window was even nice enough to give us a free drink for the wait i guess. Now i know why, all of pur food was not “fresh” it was actually old as hell and dry like beef jerky this will be the last time we come here period.

I haven’t been in one of these in some time. Mainly because they have shut many of them down in the San Antonio area.
Anyway, I was in the area around IH-10 & DeZavala road this afternoon and stopped in to pick up a couple of dinners to go.
I entered, was quickly greeted by a staff member (young lady), who took our order – which was a 3 piece fish dinner w/ 2 sides, and a 3 piece chicken dinner w/ 2 sides. I paid, and almost as quickly as she handed me my change, a young man, handed me our dinners to go. Our sides were similar coleslaw and corn, and coleslaw and fries respectively.
We waited until we were home to eat, and photo and the meals.
I will say the dining area was clean (as I did walk around), and staff very courteous and customer service-oriented, and parking was easy to find (possibly because it was a Sunday and around 5 pm).
The food was delicious, and meal was enough to fill us up, and the sides tasty.
I hope that if you decide to visit, that your experience is as good or better than mine.

Long John Silvers has always been an establishment I’ve wanted to try but I never got the chance. I’ve always heard about how the company is going bankrupt and people are upset about the food, but I always figured it was just critics who don’t understand that they’re eating fast food.
The critics are right, it’s awful. I enjoy seafood so I came purely for the fish, I was so excited I bought an extra fish just so I got more to eat. After eating (and spitting out my final fish as I couldn’t handle it anymore) I figured I am very much disappointed in the food. It’s incredibly greasy and the portion of the fried “crust” to the rest of the fish might genuinely be 60:40. The fish itself was lower quality than a microwaveable bag of fish-sticks, the tar tar sauce is way too zesty, and the only factor that gave the food a 2 was that the fries were pretty alright. There is zero reason for McDonalds, another fast food joint, to have much better fish than a company whose entire premise is fish.
Perhaps the only redeeming factor of the resteraunt that’d make me consider coming back to try out A&Ws is that the customer service was superb. Everyone was very sweet and very excited to be there. I completely understand the quality of the food isn’t really at fault of the employees or the franchisees and only corporate, so of course if corporate chooses to put quality first in their food instead of headache inducing grease flavored fish, I’d happily increase my review. I just would not recommend sadly.

The food was HORENDUSE and extremely over priced. The Mac was mushy and cold, burgers small, Luke warm, and tasted like I’m going to be on the toilet all night. The only good part is their root beer floats but they were OUT OF ICE CREAM!! night ruined. The root beer is the only good part. Don’t waste your time

I’m sorry this place is so gross. I miss the Marbach location so bad. I haven’t eaten at this location before and it was utterly disappointing. The whole restaurant is nasty. Ketchup bottles and hot sauces need to be wiped down. There was food all over the floor in the back. The whole joint was filthy. Wall paper falling off, seats torn open, dirty dingy, fruit flies all over us flew in my daughter’s drink. The drink station looks gross. On Marbach we always get complimentary crunchies. At first they forgot the hush puppies. But the girl did help us with that. Wasn’t alot of food for 50 bucks. My daughter’s fries were cold and hard as a rock. We gave most of our food to my husband anyway cause I was so disgusted. The staff is nice at least but the whole place needs to be thrown away. I felt like I was in one big poop.

Just finished eating at this location and it was delicious. Jackson was very kind and attentive, we travel from Kerrville since we don’t have a LJS over there. The drive was definitely worth it!

It was good as always.
My taste buds have matured so I was not excited about the high salt flavoring ( at least to me ) the breading has always been heavy, but I guess that’s part of the fun of it.
The fish ( Pollock ) still tastes good to me.
The shrimp did not smell bad, or have a fishy smell. So I was happy.
The tables were either greasy or something I truly don’t know, but I can say that when they handed me my food tray IT WAS GREASY to the touch.
The green beans were NOT overcooked, and the coleslaw was not bad.
All in all it was an ok visit.

Ordered on the app. Fish was cold, I got two shrimp wraps…one Baja and one chili…no sauce on either just coleslaw, shrimp and a tortilla. I had to sit at the window after she gave me my food because she didn’t give me my 1/2 gallon drink order. I included sauces in my order…didn’t get ranch but I got hot sauce that I didn’t order. Plus I got yellow mustard not honey mustard. Wish there was another one that’s kind of close to me.

Ordered a #12 with an extra chicken 8/9/25 approximately 8:55pm. I pay. Get home. My food is wrong. All fish. No chicken. Shrimp I didn’t ask for. Not even worth driving all the way back to get it fixed. My whole night is ruined.

Ordered online, paid and when the person picking up the order got there they were out of 1 item and the employee said it would be refunded (they wrote “out” on the receipt) – refund NEVER came – this place or their employees are a sham and steel your money.
