Let me start by saying that I love Smithfield’s, I have eaten it for years and it is consistently great. This is the restaurant that is closest to me and I have been enjoying it for years. In the last six weeks, I have noticed that the quality of food specifically at this location has not been that good. I usually get the barbecue sandwich or barbecue plate. The barbecue has been dry and the texture has not been good. That may be because of how dry it is. I tried to put sauce and Texas Pete to give it moisture to no avail. This is a recent occurrence as in the past the food was wonderful; however, after three disappointing trips in a row, I needed to say something. Lastly, this is not a reflection or Smithfield’s as a whole or on the staff who are always polite, diligent, and courteous.

Fantastic Find on Uber Eats!
I was so surprised and happy to find a Buy One, Get One (BOGO) deal on Uber Eats for the two-piece dark meat combo! This meal is incredible – it comes with two pieces of fried chicken, pulled pork BBQ, two sides, and hush puppies. The food was absolutely delicious; I eat here often, and it reminds me of my grandma’s cooking. It’s truly the closest you’ll get to homemade taste from a fast-food spot, and it’s affordable too!
I was also incredibly impressed with how well my order was packed. Everything was clean, organized, and nothing was sloppy or thrown together. The food wasn’t touching, and they didn’t forget a single item. I’m extremely pleased with this experience!

Never thought I would say this but this is the nastiest Smithfield’s or dine in restaurant I have ever been to. I fell in love with Smithfield’s when I would travel to Raleigh from my hometown. I would make it a point to stop at the location in Zebulon. I moved to this area about nine months ago and haven’t ever seen this location busy. That should have been my sign that the food wasn’t great. My parents were in town and wanted Smithfield’s so I went to this location. Let me start by saying the staff gave great customer service. The only thing that was good was the hush puppies. If I never ate Smithfield’s this location would make me hate all Smithfield’s location. Too many people are food influencers now a days and they should keep this in mind because if the wrong influencer was to go to this location this location would give the Smithfield’s brand a horrible name. So it looks like when I want good Smithfield’s I will have to be in Zebulon because this location is a no go.

Disappointed with the Morrisville location food quality. Chicken wings small, with feathers, breast dry, appearance disgusting. Brunswick stew tasteless, chicken tenders dry and stringy. Ordered the food on line, be aware that it’s thru a third party DoorDash, even though u pick up the food in the restaurant. Our refund was denied.
Grew up eating at Smithfield’s, the quality of the food is not the same. I will inform and share pictures of the food with relatives and friends in Raleigh, Knightdale and Zebulon of the subpar food.

I grew up on this franchises food, since I was a young teen. Its always a pleasure to eat here. The flavors are consistent, the customer service is good as well. Whether its a family outing or just a day to yourself, you can’t go wrong here.

Classic fried chicken. I found the chicken to be bit oily compared to chick-fil-a or raising canes. But that’s just a personal preference I guess.

Went in today for a “quick” lunch ordered something really simple a barbeque sandwich with slaw. After waiting 15mins!! for a BARBEQUE sandwich something that should always be available I went up the counter and said where is my sandwich the “manager” (black guy messed up arm it’s in a black arm brace) got an attitude because I asked for MY food, he gave me a lame excuse for the delay then asked me for my receipt, I said I just asked for my sandwich he then said how I know it’s yours!!! I replied oh you trying to be funny, I repeated it then he hands me my sandwich (which was nasty BTW I threw it away) like he purchased it for me. As i was walking out the door he said to the Indian young man that he was training “you get one like that once in a while” one like what? I will not be going back to this location food and service is TRASH!!

Pretty disappointed with the food we received from smith fields today. I will say that we’ve never experienced this before from this Smithfield’s however finding plastic and hair in our food is just totally unacceptable. Not to mention how hard it’s been to get in contact with the store, especially considering it’s a 23 minute drive to this location for us. We were very hungry when we picked our food up but after my mother literally pulled a long piece of plastic out of her mouth after eating the Brunswick stew, and then with me seeing what looks like a eyelash mixed in with my coleslaw, it’s safe to say our appetites are gone. This is very concerning and I’m sure we will not return to this location
Update: after driving another 23 minutes, the manager was very apologetic and gave us a refund.
