We recently ate here for the 1st time in years and the food was good like we remembered. At least there is still a Long John Silver’s less than a 1/2 hour from my house. I wish there were more locations like years ago.

Horrible experience at the Fort Oglethorpe location. The kid asked for a first name only. Said first name was yelled out. I went got the tray of food, nothing was on the tray with a name or anything indicating different. The food was wrong I took the tray back to the counter to ask. The manager took the tray flung the food in the trash and yelled its a different f-word spelling. First I was to place the blame for poor conduct on the manager. But in reality its not her fault that she and her staff have never been trained properly. Her poor management skills obviously are mimics of what she has learned from someone else. I’ve read multiple reviews on LJS and this kind of conduct is not new to the franchise. Unfortunately I do like the food but this was my last visit to the LJS franchise.

While traveling to KY, we saw the sign for this LJS and decided to stop. I will say that this location is one of best I have eaten at in years! The employee welcomed us with a smile and assisted with questions. This store was busy but our food came out in a reasonable wait. The food was good enough that we stopped on the way back to Florida!

Finally got to try this American classic today, and while the food took me back to 1988, the atmosphere was much more to be desired for . Gone is the whimsical nautical theming, replaced with a corporate slate of blue and gray. But no matter it was a pleasure to revisit a time in my childhood I remember very well.. trips to Long John Silver’s with my family were always a hit! Tasting that fish today brought me back. It’s been a long time since I’ve eaten at a Long John Silver’s – especially a *good* Long John Silver’s. Though I’ve always loved them, most of the ones near me had become unconcerned with the quality of food and their customer service. Last weekend, my husband and I found ourselves in the Ft. Oglethorpe area and when I saw a billboard announcing the opening of Long John Silver’s, I knew that I wanted to indulge. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly and quite quick with the service. (Our food was delivered to us at the counter before we’d even stepped away!) The chicken planks have always been my favorite and they did not disappoint! My husband enjoyed his fish as well! If we’re ever in the area again, we will absolutely stop in to eat!

Staff was polite. Food was hot & tasty. Dinning g room was clean for the most part. There were a couple of tables that needed to be cleaned when we arrived, but staff did get to them quickly. Restrooms were clean.

Ordered Fish and chicken basket to go. I only got fish, no chicken. The fish was greasy. I will say that the staff was very polite, but they seemed to have too many people filling each other’s orders.
