Need a perfect picnic supper around sunset? Grab a sandwich and a beverage here, then stroll down to the beach and enjoy. I had the Capocollo, which was on special, and was fantastic.
The two humans who helped me were EXTREMELY sweet and kind. Bonus: the parking meters are free after 6pm!
For those who are comfortable not quite adhering to mini-laws, the lifeguard station is a nice spot to have your picnic. Pretend you don’t see the “keep off” sign. Only the gulls will notice you’re there. You scofflaw, you!
Bonus: watch for dolphins.

This is a Newport is a gem! Their pasta salad was super flavorful, and the sandwiches were stacked with fresh ingredients—definitely some of the best I’ve had in town. Frank was really friendly, and the cozy vibe made me feel right at home. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a solid Italian deli near the beach!

Very delicious local, Italian market. Subs were generously packed with authentic Italian meats and cheeses. House-made pasta salad was delicious. Also a mini grocery store with lots of wine and Craft beer selections. Impressive amount of Italian pastas, sauces, and meat options for a homemade Italian meal. Place also delivers their sandwiches which is a nice touch. Friendly staff!

Awesome sandwiches, friendly service, cool place. We ordered five sandwiches: roast beef, turkey, captain frank, italiano and caprese. Terrific bread. Each was exceptional, delicious and filling. We only got a picture of the italiano because the rest were deleted immediately before photographs could be obtained. Calling ahead or ordering online can save time because this is one popular place.

I really hate to tell people about Lombardy’s because you heathens will ruin it, but it’s so good and such a gem and would be such a disservice to the wonderful people who work there that I feel obligated to tell the world that this place is in fact legit. Just please be polite, order quickly, and don’t sit too close to me at the beach.

I’ve worked in NB for over a year now, my job requires me to drive ALOT doing what I do for the 300 plus homes we manage. I’ve driven by this place over the past year at least 900 times, today I decided I needed to stop by one of our local ” flavors “. I interact with probably 3000 different families and ppl a year w my job, I like to offer them options if asked. I was NOT disappointed today when I stepped into this Lil ” Mom and Pop ” location. So well laid out, fresh produce, very detailed beer and wine selection along w some sodas. The fact tthey’ve high quality canned tomatoes and true authentic pasta on the shelf really won me over, oh no, Im fair from Italian, but I’ve a culinary degree and only do my current job in the off season. I know what a quality product is and these guys stock it. You come here to visit us for a week, you stop by , give them a visit. Come here if you wanna make some good Italiano flavors w your family. Staff was super inviting to me today, best ” Italiano ” I’ve had in years. Im a fan and will become a regular here myself.
