I decided to check out the Loggerhead Beach grill as it’s in walking distance of my Air B&B. I could hear the music from the outdoor seating area and was happy to find outdoor seating and live music. Even on a Monday night, the place was busy. But it is summer time at the beach. I ate ate the bar outside (there is also a bar and plenty of seating outside).

Maybe our favorite dog friendly place to eat in Folly Beach. Grab some appetizers or a delicious burger and more. Make sure you order the rum bucket….32 ounces of a very refreshing drink for a very reasonable price. The Philly steak egg roll appetizer or Shrimp tacos are fantastic. We had our dog all three times we visited so we only ate outside on the elevated deck overlooking the street with umbrella protected tables. Very pleasant atmosphere and extremely cordial wait staff. Hope to return there on our next visit.

We were looking for great bar food after kayaking on Bowen’s Island and we found it at Loggerhead’s Beach Grill. The fried oysters and shrimp were tasty. If you get a chance try the Low Country Lemonade. It’s refreshing and goes perfectly with the food.

Ambiance (3/5): There was plenty of outdoor patio seating by 8pm but it took about an hour to have our tables ready. The noise level was pretty loud from the live music in the patio dining area and screaming children running around. You can’t really see the views of the ocean but it has a casual rustic vibe. There’s a Volkswagen retro van as décor in the middle of the patio which was cool.

Friendly fast service with tasty food. I was the first customer of the day and my food came out very fast. My server took great care of me. I had the crabcake sandwich and potato salad which were both fresh. I’ll definitely go back.

Great food, fun people, live music! If you’re wanting a relaxed and fun atmosphere this is the place for you. The waiter made our drinks based on the elements we liked. Truly had a great time!

Hostess was rude and said she was not seating anymore parties and with an hour and a half of them closing. We only had two people. We asked about sitting at the bar and she said go ahead if there’s room. So we found a spot right inside the restaurant. The bartender was great and very friendly. Being an Eagles fan it was cool to find this place completely by accident. Food was good. The hostess was turning away business with plenty of seating available. Then she started seating people near closing time which didn’t make any sense. We almost didn’t eat here because she was so rude and didn’t seem like she cared about doing her job.

Great atmosphere, love music that doesn’t overpower areas, you can still hear who you’re talking to. Food was great Pub food. Nothing over the top or fancy but service was great, food was great, southern tea cocktail was amazing and the fried pickles fried to perfection. A great family place.
