Stopped for a drink and a snack. Absolutely loved their cheese curds (which are definitely not from Sysco)! Friendly staff. Had a good time.

Small town bar and grill. Food was amazing. The cheese curds were 5 stars. The breading wasn’t too thick which is my preference. My husband got the smash burger and said it was the best burger he has had in the dekalb/sycamore area. I got their special of a brat burger with sweet potato fries. I would also give it a 5 star. It was delicious but I traded the mustard for smash sauce (not a mustard fan). It is definitely worth the trek from the dekalb area or even from St. Charles. I will say its a smaller bar so larger groups (over 4) will have a hard time seating together.

Get the cheese curds. They are made in house and not just some frozen factory food they just fry. We only got those and the giant pretzel, but the cheese sauce for the pretzel was also really good. Service was excellent. As soon as our glass was getting low, the bartender was there to take our drink order. I’m 30 minutes away and was in town for something else, but I would absolutely go back.

What a gem! The food is absolutely delicious. We got the cheese curds and a couple of burgers and everything hit the spot. Love that they have ice cream pops for dessert. Brittany, thank you for the best service we’ve had in months. Love the IL suburban and Chicago beer picks as well. 11/10 will be back!

After big day of apple picking from Kuipers, The Lodi Tap House was the location we drove to have lunch with the fam.
As soon as you walk in you can see the cool bottles that are used as lampshades hanging from the ceiling. There are unique and personalized mugs displayed all over the walls.
I ordered the buttermilk brined chicken sandwich with fries. I chose to get the chicken grilled that was topped with their home made pickle slaw. It was delicious crunchy and gave a nice zest. I really enjoyed their sweet honey siracha sauce. That is what enticed me to order their sandwich in the first place.
I had one cheese curd while it was freshly made by the cook and oh man! Blown away on how delicious they were. As soon as I bit into it the cheese stretched out from my cheesy ball. The green onion was perfectly garnished and their thick sauce to dip the cheesy balls. Oh wow . I have to come back just for those cheese balls.
The Reuben was also scrumptious and their marble rye bread was thick but soft. The fresh corned beef was roasted in their craft beer with Swiss cheese and sauerkraut. I ate the other half cold and it was still delicious!
We had a big party and the waitress was very attentive. I appreciate her being able to serve everyone despite her running the floor and bar on her own for a Sunday afternoon. Big kudos on her and the chef . Thank you so much for the wonderful ️ meal.

Cool little bar not too far from where store our camper over the winter, we always stop here. Great beer selection and the best cheese curds (sorry Wisconsin). My wife had the chicken sandwich (5 stars), my daughter had the pulled pork Mac and cheese (5 stars) and I had the Reuben (4 stars, meat was a little thick cut). Great service and a cozy atmosphere, reminds me of apré ski out west.

I’ve been wanting to visit the Lodi Tap House for some time now. But I finally, finally made it.
Right off, the griddle top burger was good. Properly made, nothing too exciting…but that’s as it should be. Cheese curds were awesome, fries were good. The chicken sandwich was absolutely delicious! I could really see this chicken sandwich going well with an authentic Nashville Hot Chicken sauce (owners…please do this…nobody in this area has a proper hot chicken)
All in all, the food was really good. But the beer list was also just as thoughtful. All Illinois beer, all smaller breweries. Every beer they had deserved to be served. So nice to see.
I can’t wait for the closer, Utica, location to open
Cheers guys!

Today we hiked ALL of the trails at Starved Rock State Park and upon completion of our trek we were absolutely famished. There was no real plan for how or where to refuel so we looked into the local fare. Lodi Taproom has got to be THE place to serve trail weary patrons. My wife was in dire need of a chicken sandwich, I know this because she expressed this sentiment at our 8 mile mark and just about every 1/2 a mile afterwards so I had to try and deliver. This establishment brought it! Along with house cooked French fries that were remarkable. We didn’t start with our amazing sandwiches though, for starters we had the cheese curds which were expertly fried in pub style batter and sprinkled with fresh green onions and served with a side of (I assume) a chipotle/ mayo secret sauce. We washed that down with ice cold micro brews that they had on tap, which were poured from railroad spike handled taps and listed on an industrial sign winched to the ceiling with a 1500 pound hoist. For my meal, the main reason I am reviewing this place I had a sandwich that changed my expectations of smash burger creations from here forward. It is currently the burger of the month but it should be a staple signature. I don’t often delight in burgers but this was greasy spoon ingenuity and excellence. Toasted bun, smash burger patty, pulled pork, macaroni and cheese and then pub style onion rings. All the ingredients were premium perfection. I cannot express enough how satisfying the meal was. Even if you’re not going hiking and you’re just looking for a great meal a short distance from I-80 this is a place you must stop. Shut the orange front door(after you enter for your feast of course).
