Me and a friend wanted to try this place for the first time just to have pizza and catch up. We are two college students and the only younger people there. We got asked 2-3 times if it was our first time and we said yes. Everything was great but when we left and sat outside while the restaurant closed, the manager knocked on the drivers window. It was 9:30 pm and it scared us but we thought maybe we forgot something, when the window was rolled down. He asked why we don’t tip and if we liked the service. We said service was great, and he asked again why we didn’t tip. We just said nothing was wrong. He left and we were confused.
1. It was our first time there, we were not there go a dining experience, we had 1 pizza and 2 drinks. We were only there for 2 hours.
2. We were the only young college students… which we talked about various times during our time there. Being in college we are careful with money.
3. Coming to our car after we left to ask two younger girls something when it’s dark outside is not only inappropriate but unprofessional.
The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because the food was great and service was too. But the unprofessional idk on the managers side gave us a sour experience at the end.
I hope they don’t expect a tip from every single customer… we paid $99.81 and there was a 3% employee health & benefits sub charge added … although we understand why they expected a tip, it is not a requirement.
We won’t come back to this location but would love to try other locations. I hope management is aware that that action alone is not okay in the future.
Lafayette has a lot of shops and restaurants that are tucked away and hard to see from the main road. I would recommend to look for this place. Probably the best Italian food in town, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Staff was very nice and accommodating, I would definitely go back.
We did enjoy all our food – salads, entrees and dessert. Specialty drinks were very good also. Service was excellent. Wish we lived closer so we could go more often.
Lasagna to die for. Gnocchi like heavenly cloud pillows. The lobster ravioli made me cry with pleasure. Plus gotta love the whole interior and exterior decor! What a great find.
I ordered the pesto gnocchi, my mom ordered the lasagna, and my son ordered parm noodles of some kind from the kids menu.
The servers there were super kind and attentive, the food was good. My mom ended up with a glass of red and my son and I got Shirley temples. The bread they put on the table was so yummy. Honestly, had it not been for the price (my mom paid), I would absolutely come back again. Maybe I can bring my husband for a nice night out but it’s definitely not a midweek dinner outing kind of pricing. I guess given the area, it fits, but I am poor people. We were seated outside which at first was weird, but I love that they have space heaters and blankets for the customers. Definitely worth the money. When we finished up, we ended up getting dessert. My mom got the cannoli and I got the lemon cake. My son got the lava cake but that was definitely very small. A delicious and amazing experience.
The food was delicious! We started with the bread with olive tapenade and really enjoyed it.
I’d never heard of strozzapreti so I had to try it. It was delicious! It was a pretty generous serving so I took it home for a second meal.
The only thing slightly negative is the lack of parking. It is a pretty small metered parking lot that serves multiple businesses.
