It was a good experience overall, and there wasn’t trouble getting a table as we got there at the start of the evening, however it does seem to pick up quite a bit as you go into the evening, though it wasn’t so crowded that by the time we left (around 8pm) it would feel overwhelming.
The food was excellent and the flavours were clean and fresh, the only issue I might have is the wait time can be a little long between dishes(25 minutes plus), but the staff were attentive and very helpful throughout the evening when needed.
I think it’s worth a try if you’re craving some Thai food, as they are quite accommodating to most general dietary restrictions.
Last suggestion and this applies to those who enjoy taking many photos/videos, would be the lighting can be a bit poor, leading to some poor photos as can be seen of the menu, but you wouldn’t know it if you weren’t taking photographs.

Wow! The food was so delicious! I was overjoyed to see a good amount of choice for me as I am vegan and gluten free. I had the mushroom satay, thai broccoli with garlic and chilli, and sauteed rice noodles. Everything was so good and the staff are really friendly. They offered me tofu with the brocoli which I don’t think was on the menu, but it really added to the dish. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

I booked a table at Phanthong Thai restaurant in Altrincham and I can confirm that the food was out of this world. I have never tasted such amazing flavours and textures. The service was to a very high standard as well. Phann was the restaurant’s Manageress during our visit, she greeted us with a handshake and took great care of us during our stay. All the staff were very attentive and we were waited on hand and foot. There is a genuine desire to provide a very high level of service which is rare to see and for all of these reasons, we will keep coming back. Highly recommended.

First time in here – my husband picked the place for Valentine’s day, not really knowing where exactly it was or what to expect, and we both absolutely loved it. The menu has a large selection of dishes and everything we had, from the mixed starter plate to the massaman curry to the yellow bean pork and broccoli was delicious. Really enjoyed it! The service is attentive and friendly and we were made to feel welcome from the time we set foot inside to the time we left. Will definitely be back again, and will DEFINITELY have the massaman curry again – it’s DELICIOUS!

We went to Phanthong for lunch on Saturday and ordered from the A La Carte menu. The decor is lovely. The food was presented beautifully and absolutely delicious. We had young kids with us and they loved the food too, especially the pad Thai noodles. The service was excellent. Would definitely recommend this place and will be back again.

We visited on a Sunday and experienced their buffet style menu. The food was amazing and you could try all of the items on the menu for one price. You can order one at a time so they each arrive hot and fresh! The service was great too, very friendly and helpful staff.

Very disappointing experience at Phanthong. We ordered a vegetable dish and asked for broccoli, which was clearly listed on the menu. The waitress rudely told us there was no broccoli and instead offered “seasonal greens” What arrived was a soggy, congealed mix of cabbage and sprout leaves – wet, tasteless, and frankly unpleasant.
To make matters worse, we were then charged £14.95. When we challenged her about the price she became rude and obnoxious. Rather than trying to resolve the issue she started arguing that the cabbage had been imported from Thailand. The food overall was very average not worth the money!!

Such a delightful experience coming to this restaurant when we visited Altrincham for a football match. Both ladies who welcomes and served us were an absolute joy and so helpful. We explained we only had an hour due to the football match and they accommodated us so well. The food was delicious and my mouth is watering just thinking about it now. We will definitely return on a future football match! Recommended the chicken massaman – so creamy and tasty. Divine.
