Fried chicken was crispy, juicy, and not greasy. Worth the trip itself. Crispy chicken salad had fresh greens and the chicken strips were crunchy. BBQ ranch sauce was delicious. Drinks were a nice pour and good prices.

The Local is one of my favorite places to eat when I am in Westport. Yes, it is full of Locals, which tells you it’s a good place to eat. The food is very good. Prices are reasonable. The staff fun and friendly. Carol and Christopher are usually the ones working when I have been there and they do a great job. The cook is wonderful too.

This is such an amazing amazing bar to go if you’re in Westport and don’t want to go to the dock area. For bar food, they’re seriously delicious and provide you a bang for your buck. Delicious nachos as well. The server is friendly and they have drinks that are appropriately priced.

This is a rural America bar & grill. Was recommended by the local fire dept. staff, so gave it a try and would stop in again. If you’re under 21 you can’t come in, so though good food, it doesn’t support families stopping in as it is a bar. Pool, pull tabs, punch boards and plenty of TV’s. Staff very firefly and they definitely know the local patrons.

Looking for a bar that has those home town feels? This is it! The staff is above and beyond expectations! From the bartender to the cook, within minutes, I was hooked! Instantly I felt at home and was in twined in witty banter. Immediately comforted by the atmosphere, I was home. The food. So. Good. The End. The local bar and grill fits all the requirements for being a great place to stop in at. Surprisingly wide variety of beers to choose from on draft, full menu, pull tabs, pool tables, and darts. Staff is very friendly, helpful, and efficient.

The Local is as you would expect for a small town bar and grill. Definitely a small town hangout but they don’t discriminate against outsiders. The food was ok. Definitely filling. You get what you pay for! The atmosphere was fine for a bar. The service was outstanding! The gal there took very good care of our group of ten. We enjoyed the company we kept at The Local and definitely enjoyed the service. We would definitely return!
