We have been coming here for years. The food is good and prices reasonable. When we went in today we found they had added Korean dishes. I had the Stone Pot Bibimbap. It was very good, but could have used just a little more protein. My wife had the Salmon Bento which is always good. We will be back to try the Beef Bulogi and Korean Chicken Wings.
We were not drinking at lunch but I noticed a good selection of Asian beer and Sake.
Little Tokyo is a solid choice when you are looking for grub in the Barkley area.

On my first visit to Little Tokyo I found a delightful casual restaurant with friendly service and two very satisfying sushi rolls. Oh, and the prices were reasonable. The residents of the Barkley neighborhood are luck to have a place like this so close.

I have walked by this place more times than I can count without trying it out. Well today I went in on my lunch break and was absolutely blown away by the quality. I ordered a chicken bento box which came with Soup, Salad, gyoza and tempura, along with a healthy portion of chicken teryaki and rice.
Also tried their housemade hot sauce and couldn’t believe how delicious it was. Come check this place out!

Little Tokyo is our favorite place for sushi in Bellingham. The food is always fresh and very tasty. Also, I love that the Miso soup is always nice and hot. Our waitress was very attentive and the food arrived quickly. If you have not tried this place, you should definitely try it out. Avoid the conveyer belt sushi and get the good stuff.

Pictured with my review was a 16 dollar order of chicken teriyaki. The spice sauce was an extra buck. It was a single layer of protein over rice. It was good, but it was maybe a third of the portion of chicken teriyaki compared to other places, and more expensive too.
Anyway, you don’t get chicken teriyaki for a life-changing culinary experience. I didn’t like it because it is overpriced. The rest of the food at the restaurant is good, even great. They should just drop the teriyaki from the menu if it’s going to be (rounding up) twenty bucks for basically a lunch portion.

We ordered the Chicken Bento Deluxe Box, Stone Pot Bibimbap and 1 Spicy Tuna Roll. That the chicken was marinated made all the difference for the overly sweet teriyaki. The Tempura batter was heavy and there were giant slabs of potato, sweet potato, starchy squash and shrimp. Unfortunately this was the most flavorless Bibimbap I have tasted, all the veggies were steamed, not enough caramelization on the rice and the gojuchang chili ketchup sauce didn’t help. We enjoyed the spicy tuna roll.

We got an order delivered, when it arrived we did not get the extra sauce we ordered and paid for. When we called the manager was rude and would not accommodate our request of simply making it right the next time we order. The food was not great, we won’t be back.

The Philly special was soggy.
The 4 piece egg roll was 2 small egg rolls cut in half. When we called to question this, the response was, “Ya, um totally, ok. It’s 4 pieces, not 4 egg rolls.”
The Korean spicy tasted strange, and the noodles were swollen and soggy as if it had been sitting for a while.
The yakisoba was OK.
The rainbow roll was small. It was 8 pieces at $15.99, that’s $2 per bite. Tasted good, though.
The small miso had one tiny piece of tofu.
The light up lightsaber chopsticks were pretty dope. Can’t say anything bad about those.
