Eating outside made it even more special. Sitting there and enjoying the streets of Savannah adds something magical to the experience. Savannah is not a typical American city; it’s full of charm, history, and character, and that atmosphere makes the meal even more memorable.
The service was also outstanding friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish.
A special mention goes to their tomato soup, which was simply spectacular. Sometimes the simplest dishes are the hardest to perfect, and they absolutely nailed it.
Highly recommended if you’re visiting Savannah.
I found myself at the Little Duck Diner, where I was greeted warmly upon arrival and promptly shown to a table. The hostess brought water, and shortly thereafter Shay arrived to take my order.
I ordered a cup of joe and The Maxwell sandwich with bacon. The sandwich came almost too quick—but it came out hot from the kitchen, and I wasn’t mad about it at all.
The sandwich was great. The buttery glaze on the bun made it a slippery one to eat, but the sriracha base, fluffy eggs, and—duh—bacon more than made up for it.
Kudos to Aiden for an impromptu pop-in when he noticed my empty water glass. Shay also checked back and offered refills. I’ve always had good, better, and best experiences here, and this visit was no exception.
We ordered the duck grilled cheese, tomato soup, and the steak tacos and we loved all of it. The duck grilled cheese is an absolute must! This is a must stop in Savannah!
And please be sure to leave room for the tuxedo bomb cake because wow, that was really spectacular!
Jack, thank you for the great service!! We’ll be back!
EVERYTHING we’ve ordered here is high quality, from the chicken and waffles to the rice bowls. Our favorite waiter Jack could not have been more polite and helpful. He never batted an eye no matter request we made. Plus, he was wearing a t-shirt from a sister restaurant so we went there too, and it was great.
This place is very popular so you might have a bit of a wait depending on time of day. Great decor, no loud music, and they have dessert and milkshakes (but we were too full to try either).
Food was great. The grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup is definitely worth trying. The shrimp risotto served on fried risotto was also excellent.
