This was one unique experience, to say the least. It happened to be Valentine’s and the space was packed to capacity.
Loud Hindi 90s blaring…deafening perhaps, but credit to the in-house DJ who did justice to his mixes.
That aside, the food was noteworthy. Took aeons to arrive though. Unsure whether it’s on a regular basis or just bcz of the crowd.
The starters arrived long before the soup did..but no complaints there.
The nachos are unique….perhaps kind of like fried wanton wrappers or so it seemed…these were a bit stale…could have been fresher. But they don’t scrimp on the salsa.
Main course took the better part of an hour to arrive, although we ordered just 2 dishes.
Drab unlisted desserts. The usual – gajar ka halwa…passable.
Why do they list exotic fare when it’s never available?? Beats me.
The downside – a lack of servers. We had to beg for their attention. Over-crowded and under-stated, that too on a busy weekend.
One more thing…we have NEVER, repeat NEVER encountered being asked to share a table.
I mean, c’mon, it’s not an Udipi style thali joint or something… we’re paying good bucks for an evening out…
Seemed like we being hurried out of there. We were asked to seat an elderly couple at our table, (this was observed at other tables too, where more than 1 party was being squished in) which we refused, plainly bcz the seating is low and cramped.
You need to bend over double to get to your meal.
I mean why cram in more patrons, when there’s no seating available, just to rake in the moolah?? Why not just refuse??
Not acceptable, management. Don’t take your patrons for granted please. Doesn’t speak well of your hospitality.
Not likely to return. The experience and ambience was a 5/10.
Errr…is it alright to levy a service charge?? They do, here, still.
We had pre-booked the restaurant via Zomato and visited around 2 PM. The place was nearly empty, and each table had a pamphlet clearly stating “Happy Hours: 12 PM to 7:30 PM – Buy One Get One Free on all drinks, cocktails, mocktails, and liquor.”
Naturally, we ordered two mocktails (non-alcoholic) expecting the offer to apply, along with several dishes. One of the main dishes — Cheddar Cheese Malai Kofta — was shockingly sweet, to the point of being unpleasant and inedible. It tasted more like a dessert than a curry, and it was a struggle to finish even with the assorted naans we had ordered.
When the bill arrived, both mocktails were billed in full, without applying the Happy Hour offer. After making the payment via Zomato, we realized the error and informed the staff.
Their response was unacceptable. They said,
“Sir, you should have told us if you wanted the offer.”
How absurd is that? The offer is clearly printed and placed on every table — why would a customer need to “remind” the staff about something that the restaurant itself is advertising? When we pointed this out, one of their staff members, Sunil (bald with a beard), bluntly said,
“That pamphlet is only for show. There are other offers too.”
This is nothing short of false advertising and customer deception. Even after showing them the pamphlet and the bill, they refused to correct or refund the overcharge.
Completely unprofessional behavior, misleading promotion, and zero accountability.
If this is how they treat their customers, they don’t deserve anyone’s time or money.
Attaching photos of the bill and the pamphlet for proof.

The food was absolutely delicious—every dish was flavorful, well-prepared, and served fresh. From starters to desserts, the variety and taste exceeded our expectations. The staff was attentive, courteous, and ensured that everything ran smoothly throughout the evening.
What stood out most was the combination of great food, warm hospitality, and thoughtful decoration, which made the birthday celebration feel extra special. Angreji Dhaba is definitely a place I’d recommend for anyone looking to enjoy good food with a lively atmosphere, especially for special occasions.
The food was good and the service was quick. Had three different cocktails and starters. Sharabi chicken kebab was the highlight.
Loved the ambience. Music was also good.
Just a suggestion, The special cocktails should have the basic description of the ingredients. Altogether the waiter was kind and helped us out with knowing it to select the one’s we wanted to have
Will definitely visit here again soon.
I recently visited this newly opened branch of Angrezi Dhaba in Malad and enjoyed delicious food here. They serve some fancy cocktails and the food is superb. I just loved the Sharabi Kebab and Chicken Haleem Lapeta. Also the Chocolate Basundi Shots were mindblowing. Can’t wait to visit again.
Enjoyed a lotttt.
