If you’re looking for a flavorful simple greasy burger, Lion’s Tap is the place! The burgers are outstanding and only matched by the service. The menu is simple with only variations of burgers and fries. That’s it, but that’s all you need! The food came out fast and the burgers were bursting with fresh flavors. I would say the only “complaint” we would have, is that the burgers come out in small plates. We would like bigger plates so that we have room to put ketchup on for the fries. With that said, that definitely is not a reason to not stop by!

This place has gone way down hill. 2 out of the 3 times I’ve ordered from here there has been an issue. This time I ordered 2 plain bacon cheese burgers. When picked them up they had no buns. I also said no pickles. And they had pickles. Not worth driving back. They won’t do anything about it anyways. I’d think twice about ordering here.

If your a fan of burgers you have to give this long standing burger joint a try. Very popular place for a reason. Burgers and fries are all they do and they do it very well. They have tap beers including a Lion’s Tap light lager and a Lion’s Tap stout as well as standard mixers. Wife and I really like our cheeseburgers. All very affordable. They are situated a long the river and there is some nice scenery getting to the place.

This is a long time local diner for burgers. Lion’s Tap is absolutely an institution spanning generations. Decades ago, it was a little divey but today it is well manicured after several expansions and renovations. (I kinda miss the old days). A massive mural on the wall let’s you know that you’re definitely in the upper Midwest!
Serving several variations of burgers, krinkle fries and real 1919 root beer. A must go-to for the southwest suburbs. Highly recommended!

This restaurant/bar is a great place! Simple menu. Burgers and fries and pop/beer. They’ve had this place going as far back as the 1980s…..that I remember…. so they r doing something right!. Atmosphere is super,! Staff r courteous, quick. Cook really does a great job kicking out the burgers: fresh and hot. And when you love their burgers … You can purchase their seasoning and take it home…. Great for family gatherings and bday parties. Very casual and homey feeling. And they have two entrances… One with stairs and one on main floor.. no steps. Once in the door you are greeted, asked how many in your party… And then given a direction to go for seating. LOVE this place!

We decided to have hamburgers for dinner. We searched online and saw that Lion Tap had a 4.7-star rating, so it appeared to be a good restaurant. In short, we went there and ordered double hamburgers.
All the shortcomings and problems of this restaurant, without bias or exaggeration, are as follows:
• There was no menu.
• There were no clothes , forks, or knives.
• The double burger was so tall that it was difficult to eat.
• During our meal, four different servers changed.
• While we were still at the very beginning of eating, the bill was brought to the table, and every server who passed by kept looking at it.
• In short, we have never experienced such poor manners and lack of professionalism in a restaurant.
Conclusion:
The money we spent at this restaurant for two hard, thick, tasteless burgers could have been spent at a much better restaurant, where we would have enjoyed both good food and a pleasant time.
Some people are like sheep: they go to the pasture, eat, and once they are full, they don’t care what they have eaten. Unfortunately, this restaurant is exactly like that.
