After 15 years of wanting to come here, it has completely surpassed expectations. Such a cute little place! The food is delightful! It wasn’t very flavorful but that just means you can add as much salt and pepper as you wish. The green beans were the highlight for me. Best green beans I’ve had in a WHILE. The corn was very creamed, very sweet! The handmade biscuits were amazing, better than any store bought bread. The fried apples were top notch. The chopped steak with the gravy was AMAZZZZINGGG!!!! The peanut butter pie is also delectable!! It was the best way to make peanut butter pie. The coconut cream pie was also very good, highly recommend!

People said “there’s always a line out the door” “get reservations” …..
The server acted as if we were an inconvenience, came by our table 2 times, told us they were out of catfish, out of fried chicken. Biscuits were cold and hard. When she brought out the chicken it was one piece and all 4 of us wanted a piece ♀️…. The catfish wasn’t even browned, and it was mushy. The ONLY thing I’d go back for is the potatoes. Oh, and let’s not forget, the place has MAYbe 10 tables, and is noisier than a KC Chiefs football game. Certainly NOT worth the $27 each a piece for the all you can eat, cause they are slower than molasses on revisiting your table and stingy on bringing more! Oh and we got there at 5:15pm. SAVE YOURSELF THE TRIP!

Service at the Lighthouse was great despite the fact that it was absolutely cold in the dining room where we were seated. The wooden chairs were so cold some folks were just miserable. Most folks in our dining room were wearing their coats.
Other than the Cole slaw the food was nothing to rave about. Chicken had no flavor. country ham had good flavor but was like eating shoe leather. Green beans appeared to be right out of a can with no evidence of actually being cooked with any kind of seasoning. The apples were said to be fried apples, but had the appearance of being stewed apples like the potatoes. Mash potatoes would have been nice. My wife said the limas were really good. Sorry I didn’t try them. I thought the fish was good while someone was heard saying it was too greasy.
The biggest issue older folks had was that everyone had to handle the food. So whoever had to wipe their nose or cough or whatever was done to help spread germs it was done in great style.
Overall, we had a good drive through the country to get there….. Doubtful we will return.
Can’t really justify $23.00+/- for a $14.00 buffet. $51.20 for two old geezers is a bit too much.

We were a party of 5 with reservations tonight. It seemed they just could not bring out enough food for all of us at one time. The chicken was greasy, the ham was too salty, I ran out of coke and waited for a refill quite a while. The facility needs updating from floors, bathrooms, walls, ceilings. I’ve been told it was once a premium place and worth the cost but that’s no longer the case. I gave it a 1 since 0 is not an option.

We really enjoyed our meal here. All four of us ordered the “All you can eat family style” meal and everything was delicious. It is kind of like a buffet that they bring to your table. They bring out family bowls/platters and you can always ask for more. Our favorites were the Catfish and the ham with red eye gravy but everything was very good. We even tried the butterscotch pie and the chocolate overload cake. The cake was fantastic. The wait staff were very kind and friendly. There are three sections to the dining area and plenty of seating. Highly recommend this place!

Best fried chicken I have every had. The country ham is also wonderful. One of few places you can get stewed potatoes, Lima beans, tomatoes with your meal. Support this local business. They are wonderful. If you like pie they have some amazing looking ones.

This Lighthouse Restaurant has the best country ham in the state of Kentucky. Everything else is just a bonus.
My wife and I decided to go to the Lighthouse tonight. And we were both impressed with the food and the service. I would highly recommend.

The food is not home cooked; most everything is frozen and fried. The atmosphere is simple and the restaurant lacks technology (couldn’t use our debit cards). The staff was super friendly but it’s not a place I would return to for dining unless I lived there and had no other choices.

Great food! There is a wait but it’s worth every bit of it. I had the catfish and it was the best I ever ate. Great date night place or family dinner. Definitely going back.

This restaurant is locally owned by great people that serve the very best tastes of Kentucky. If you grew up on country food your Grandma would cook every Sunday…then this will bring back those memories. Quality food that is served in abundance at a fair price. Country ham, fried chicken, catfish, biscuits, cornbread, tomatoes, slaw, and all the fixins’…and everything is home made or fixed in-house. No extra preservatives here. Great place for two, or twenty; they can accommodate everyone. You can order off the menu for smaller plates, or order the all you can eat that is served tableside in large bowls free for all to serve themselves. Located in the Sulphur Well Historic District, the food is worth the drive…and the wait (get there early). This place is known for miles around.
