We were extremely lucky to walk in and be seated – I highly recommend having a reservation. This was an unexpectedly upscale restaurant with clever decor featuring literature and we loved many aspects of our dining experience. The two featured cocktails we tried (Penelope Smoked Old Fashioned and Flora Adora)were outstanding. Our server was friendly, attentive, and helpful. The tuna tart appetizer and the scallop entree were top notch and some of the best dishes we’ve had at any level of restaurant. I highly recommend trying them. The side dishes were another point where the restaurant shines. I particularly enjoyed the sautéed mushrooms. On the other hand, the ribeye, while cooked to perfection, somehow was still a little tougher than expected, and I feel that there is room for improvement for that price range. The shrimp ceviche guacamole with plantains was good as well, though perhaps not as amazing as some of the other offerings. I look forward to coming back to try the lamb.

Our server Vaughn was remarkable! He gave us some recommendations for our first time experience. The Carribbean pork belly sliders melt in your mouth. The pork belly is tender. I love the sweetness from the pepper jelly. It pairs well with the Carribbean spices. My bf and I devoured those sliders!
Entrees were the Cous Cous Lamb and the Snapper Special. Both were exceptionally divine. We had no complaints. They were out of the dessert that I wanted but I settle with the cheesecake! And it was still good. They made my birthday really special.
Make a reservation and you won’t be disappointed!

Not cheap, but definitely worth it. Great food, great service, nice vibes. Make a reservation. We got 2 apps, 2 entrees, 3 sides, dessert, a cocktail and glass of wine each.

Went to dinner on 11/5 and I cannot stop thinking about it…that’s how incredible it was! The apps…bread is a MUST, peppers/brussel sprouts were amazing, meatballs were damn fine! Cast Iron redfish and the filet special were off the chain! And the bread pudding flambé made the whole table so happy! Justin, the manager was also amazing recommending awesome drinks and making sure we had everything we needed! The chef was magnificent, kind and humble when he came to chat with us! He is a star in the making! Can I go back tonight??

I came here for my birthday recently! The atmosphere, service and food were amazing! I can’t wait to go back! I had a smoked old fashioned, a drink called the Lavender Affair, wagyu meatballs, and the crabcakes over mashed potatoes.

I don’t usually write reviews for restaurants unless service or food was pretty bad. This is the exact opposite. I am actually gushing. The place has really nice vibes. Very unassuming in a strip mall in Gonzales, LA!. All dark wood, red booths, low lights. GREAT whiskey selection!.
First –
Service was outstanding, Special kudos to the manager, Justin. Took great care of us – brought the chef out for us to meet and pay our compliments. All I can say – is go. But make reservations as they get busy on Thurs – Sat. Price was about $60 per person all in, but that was with 8 drinks/wine.
For apps we had the Wagu meatballs with burrata and marinara – so good. Some stuffed mild peppers with braised Brussel sprouts and really good bread. Apps enough to serve 4 – ran about $45 total including bread ($9). The ladies had the red fish and risotto dish off the menu. Fish was crispy on outside and tender and sweet inside, risotto was perfectly prepared, not mushy – not chewy. And healthy portions, not tiny slabs you get a lot of placed. My uncle had the shrimp and grits – he said was fantastic (obviously because he didn’t offer anyone a bite!).. I had the filet special – 4ox with tallow reduction and a pile of lump crab meat served over mash potatoes, with grits over the potatoes and protein on top. I upgraded to 6 oz because I knew my wife would want some.
The coup de gras was the bread pudding. Warm crispy on outside and served table side with a liquor flambe and enough for all four of us.

Our experience at Library Wine and Provisions was incredible. I don’t remember the server’s name but she was EXCELLENT. She was very professional yet funny and relatable. I got the Black Forest which was a flavorful, figgy version of a Manhattan – My dream cocktail. Then we split the Burrata Salad, which was great. I got the Shishito Pepper appetizer for my meal and it the best shishito dish I’ve ever had. It came with a savory sweet sauce, toasty peanuts, a perfect crunch, and lots of roasted Brussels sprouts. My husband got the Cast Iron Red Fish. It came with a spicy sauce that he got on the side, because he can’t handle a lot of spice, and it was delicious. I dipped my Brussels in it! He loved it even without it, can the risotto was also one of the best he’s ever had. The vibe was so cozy and intimate. The colors were warm yet inviting. From pictures, I was worried that it would be dark and dingy but it was anything but. 11/10 experience!!!

Absolutely wonderful restaurant!!! Phenomenal food and an excusite atmosphere!!! We had the pleasure of being waited on by Devon and chose a variety of things to try. We started with the house bread and shrimp and avocado ceviche then ordered our entrées. My husband had the waygu sliders and crawfish mac-n-‘cheese. I ordered the roasted beet and strawberry salad and the pan grilled fish. We finished our dinner with the molten lava cake. Everything was absolutely delicious and I could tell with every bite much consideration was taken with the menu. If you’re in the area I highly recommend trying this place. You won’t be disappointed.

Upscale restaurant with a large selection of wine and whiskey.
The shishito pepper appetizer was delicious, as were the wagyu meatballs and the garlic mashed potatoes.
I wasn’t a fan of the taste of the grilled vegetables.
Their desserts were phenomenal as well!

The sliders, chicken pasta, and creme brulee cheesecake were delicious, but the brussel sprouts were bland. The crab cakes were underwhelming, but the sauce help them out a bit.
The restaurant is small so you must make reservations.
My server, Vaughn, was nice. I’ll give them another try.
