We were driving by and seen the sign for this restaurant, took us a minute to find parking. The hostess was very outgoing and friendly. They have a basket full of games. We payed guess who. We ordered the sampler and the shrimp basket, and a kids cheeseburger basket. The food is so different. We loved it and loved the flavors. In fact, we plan to try to stop by again tomorrow for their Thursday special.

It appeared the HVAC wasn’t working was very hot and humid. The food came out fast but the grits were not full cooked and no seasoning. The catfish was also not seasoned except for the breading. Overall the catfish was pretty good. The fires and hush puppies were over fried. Fries dark and limp, hush puppies super brown, very crunching and raw in middle. Wait staff was great, friendly, knowledgeable and quick.

The service was very nice. Sadly that was the only pleasant thing about our visit. This restaurant was a bit “run down” and could have used a good cleaning. My wife’s shrimps and grits tasted burnt and my crawfish etouffee was watery with little flavor. We chose this place because of the great reviews so maybe today was just a bad day. We’ll come back and try something else. Everyone deserves a second chance right?

Really enjoyed this restaurant! Casual place with friendly service and the food was tasty. Pictured here is the Cajun pasta with fried chicken added & the shrimp and cheese grits.

The sweet cornbread muffin really needs some rethinking. Ugh. If it must stay, offer a buttermilk version too…or hush puppies. Please. Also, the chicken is cooked in the rice, not put on top of it. The fried seafood platter, however, was top notch…the best this Louisiana native has eaten in Georgia so far. The red beans and rice looked great too; I will probably try it next time. Again…rethink the muffins. Ugh.

Our sever, Vicki, was so sweet and attentive. I heard about this new “authentic” restaurant from a friend and had to try it (I absolutely love cajun/Louisiana food) ordered po boy w/ fries, crawfish (from the boil Tuesday) w/ a side of jambalaya. The po boy was good, well seasoned but the side of fries were undercooked. Highly disappointed in the lack of seasoning in the crawfish as well as the jambalaya. I gave a shot at ordering beignets because they are another “when I’m missing it” food. I was handed what appeared to be deep fried crepes stacked ontop of each other or something.

Shrimp on the po’boy was great. Bread, not so much. Ended up not eating it because it being two pieces, all the filling fell out with every bite. Fries are actually potato sticks as they’re homemade, which I appreciate, but could benefit from some baking soda or a 2nd fry for crispness. Our server Izzy was a delight!

This was our second time to have lunch at Les Bon Temps and we enjoyed our Cajun meals both times. The food is prepared by a true Cajun family from Louisiana. They have all the delicious food on their menu that you would find in South Louisiana. I had a blackened grill shrimp poboy and my husband ordered the shrimp basket, blackened. The service was great along with being truly friendly. We lived in South Louisiana for several years and have eaten our fair share of Cajun food, believe me, Leslie Bon Temps is the real deal for great Cajun food. We are looking forward to going back again soon.
