Memorial Day 2023, yesterday, I had a desire for baby back ribs. I decided to order from Leon’s based on memories from years ago. BIG mistake. With slab of baby back ribs I also ordered fried chicken wings. The ribs were pink on inside and charred outside. Rib’s only taste was barbecue sauce. After a couple of bones, I planned to try to save ribs by baking in oven next day. Next, the fried chicken wings were mushy and totally without taste. After tasting and viewing both the ribs and chicken, I decided to pitch both to the trash. Because that’s what they were trash. I woke up today with something I never had before, Diarrhea from two rib bones and one chicken wing. I understand that Leon’s was busy because of the Holliday. Most restaurants stop selling when they get to busy to produce good products and service. Not Leon’s, they just send the s($#$ out to customers. I wasted time, money and risked my health. Will never eat at Leon’s again.

Smells can be deceiving because this food was trash. Picked up for uber here a few times so I decided to try it myself. The ribs were sloppy like chili or something. I heated it up and the plate was full of grease. The chicken and fries were undercooked. It seems like they’re cutting corners in there. Those ribs must’ve been boiled then smoked for 10 minutes. Bogus as hell.

The one on Archer – 3rd time in a row! Shame on me!!! Leon’s use to have good Rib tips so today I ordered two large tips and it tasted like the barbecue sauce was sitting in a pool of grease. OMG I was so disappointed. Didn’t know until I was 30 mins away and couldn’t come back- Ohhh the response that I got sorry next time you come don’t get the tips Wowww

I grew up on the original Leon’s and moved out of town. Since I’m visiting I decided to give it a shot and I was not disappointed. The wings were seasoned excellently and the tips were moist. I would’ve given you 5 stars except we didn’t get enough sauce and it was kinda thin but the overall meal was

What was known @ one time as one of the best bbq producers here in Chicago has become a shell of its former self. Leon’s bbq came back after a long hiatus from the Chicago land area. They opened the newest location here near Stoney Island on 63rd street right before the pandemic. They survived. Foods just ok. The iconic sauce is back but the bbq itself isn’t the greatest. They’ve added some new sides which aren’t bad but they aren’t good either. Reasonable prices and make sure u check ur order before u leave too. The front end worker seems a bit forgetful.

AUG 31ST 2023 THE OLDER BLACK LADY That answered the phone was rude and disrespectful and ghetto she doesn’t know how to speak to anybody in the customer service manner which lets me know that everybody in the restaurant will be ghetto and they will mess up your order Do not go here ever Do not waste a dime on here it is not okay to shop with black businesses You will get poor service ‼️‼️‼️
