Best service and food! Came in for my birthday dinner and although we did not have reservations on a busy evening, they kindly found us a table right away. Server was fun and amazing! My son and I cleaned off every plate you see in the photos! They have a giant bar menu as well including a full page of dozens of wine choices! All 5 stars from me!

The restaurant was full and bustling when we arrived. We were shown to our tables after a short wait and our waiter appeared with menus and explained the days specials.
We placed a drinks order and proceeded to peruse the menu. The drinks arrived in a staggered manner and one of them was missing the requested garnish, which was rectified after a short delay.
The pumpkin soup and beef tartare arrived next. The pumpkin soup was absolutely wonderful and I highly recommend it. The tartare was overly tart being doused in too much lemon.
Next came the short rib ravioli, the pep pizza, the branzini and the pork chop. The pork chop was cooked well and had a nice sauce and the carrots were a nice accompaniment, the pep pizza needed to be crispier, the branzini was cooked perfectly and so was the ravioli.
For dessert we tried the tartufo and lemon sorbet. Both were very tasty but hard to eat with the rather small spoons, hard shells and big plates.
The service was very lax at our table. The second round of drinks took quite a while to arrive and one of the drinks went to several tables before arriving at ours. We were not checked on during the meal and I would have loved some fresh pepper or red chili to go with my meal. I think it may just have been too busy, but it was a shame to be let down by the service while the food was generally quite good.

If you have the chance to visit this wonderful ristorante in the beautiful village of Solvang, you should. The food was delicious and fresh. The atmosphere was elevated in the evening and comfortable during lunch time. The service is always excellent. The servers all have great suggestions and recommendations. Overall very nice experiences both times I went. We will definitely be back anytime we’re in the area.

What a great little find! Leonardo’s was the perfect ending to a great day of wine tastings. We each tried something different to be sure to have a variety and were not at all disappointed. The Bronzino and Steak were cooked to perfection, however the Chicken Parmesan was one of the best we’ve ever tasted. Ended the evening with the espresso martinis.. absolutely perfect!

Leonardo’s Ristorante Pizzeria delivered an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The food and service were excellent, with our waiter, Shannon, providing impeccable service—he truly has the perfect character for this role, making our meal even more enjoyable.

The lasagna and lobster ravioli were superbly prepared, rich in flavor, and cooked to perfection. The calamari was excellent—crispy and tender—while the bread was fresh, airy, and a perfect complement to the meal.

The highlight of the evening was the Limoncello dessert, which was the best I’ve had—including during my international travels to Italy. One minor suggestion: I’d recommend omitting the chocolate drizzle on the plate, as it detracts from the pure, refreshing Limoncello flavor.

Overall, an outstanding experience, and I highly recommend Leonardo’s to anyone looking for authentic, high-quality Italian cuisine!

We stopped by Solvang for lunch during a birthday road trip to LA. The restaurant seemed to attract more locals than tourists.

We ordered Panne Pescatore and Spaghetti Alla Carbonara, both popular choices. The panne was perfectly seasoned and delicious, while the carbonara was a bit bland but paired nicely with the salty bacon.

When we mentioned the birthday, the server surprised us with a pudding cake, making the experience even more special.

The interior had plenty of artwork, and I especially loved the landscape paintings in the hallway to the restroom.

With kind staff, good food, and a quiet atmosphere, it’s a great Italian restaurant I’d highly recommend!❤️

Honestly, for how fancy this place is I kind of expected a lot more. The pizza seemed more like an American pizza rather than a Neapolitan pizza. The dough was just thick and had very little flavor. The pasta was ok. Again, I thought it was good it just lacked bold flavor. The service was good and the atmosphere was nice I just wish the food matched the aesthetics.

Visiting Solvang for the first time, my family and I went twice to this restaurant! I really enjoyed the two meals I had – Fish of the day (I chose the Halibut), and it came with such yummy potatoes! I also had the Chicken parmesan, the right amount of seasoning and cheese, and it was very soft! Also the (non-alcoholic) cucumber sparkling drink! Oh! And that tiramisu was one of the best ones I’ve tried so far! The bartender, waiters, host, cooks, busser, and every staff member were so nice! And they even recognized us coming back. I want to come back here to try the pastas! Till next time and thank you for such a wonderful time. Appreciation from a family from Oakland, CA! 🙂
