Legacy BBQ truly lives up to its name. The founder poured his heart into every cut of meat, and though he’s gone too soon, his spirit still fills this place. His longtime apprentice and some old and new team , have carried on his recipes and passion with care and respect. Every bite tastes like a tribute—this is more than BBQ, , it’s Legacy bbq! No pun intended.

It’s a breath of fresh air to see that Baker’s Brisket now has a restaurant located in the heart of Lago Vista! The food is amazing, brisket melts in your mouth and the pork ribs fall right off of the bone. Don’t forget to get the sides, the Mac and creamed corn are to die for!

We tried this out the other day during the soft opening and it was great! We got lean brisket, turkey, breadcrumb Mac & cheese and brisket beans.
The meat was delicious and super juicy and tender. We’ll definitely be back again. Overall we were super impressed!

I was visiting on business in Lago Vista and knew I had to get BBQ before I left and came across this gem… The owners were kind, welcoming, educated us on how they got into the industry, (but the food was absolutely delicious.) Truly comfort food and highly would recommend to any in the area or anyone visiting!

The lean brisket is was just perfect. Also, a really sweet couple (I think) that runs the place on Saturdays and Sundays. I’ll be going back. I think Legacy is new to this location, but lots of folks on the North Shore are familiar with the legacy name. Highly recommend this place to anybody in the area!!

My husband and I were running errands and decided to try out Legacy BBQ for a late lunch. We both had the 1 meat plate and opted for moist brisket (and it was). I really appreciate that the plate comes with two sides and a drink. I had John’s potato salad and cream corn. He had brisket beans and feta green beans with bacon. We shared. All sides were tasty. My only suggestion would be to cook the green beans a little bit longer and leave out the feta (but that’s just a personal preference). The “in-house made” pickles were really good and reminded me of the pickles my mother made when I was a kid. We’ll be back for sure.

I got the 3 meat plate and the portions were huge. I got brisket, turkey, jalapeno sausage, brisket beans, and feta bacon green beans. Nothing was dried out. Juicy and tender and it all tasted great. It is a little pricey compared to other places but I feel the portion sizes make up for that
