Overall, I give Lee’s a 5/5 stars. We’ll be back very soon.
We also got the spring rolls with crispy tofu that were very fresh and tasty and a good portion. Then we ordered Drunken Noodles with Beef. Really nice flavors, very fresh, good amount of beef and perfectly cooked noodles. We enjoyed our food experience. With the service, it was okay. Very distant is the best way i can put it. Not much conversation, but we got everything we needed. Only at the end we were waiting for service for a good minute after we were done with the food needing a box. But it’s okay.
Overall Atmosphere 4/5, Food & Drinks 4.5/5, Service 3.5/5.
Grilled Pork Vermicelli Bowl ($20): The pork looked pale and dry, like it wasn’t marinated long enough, but it actually tasted better than it looked. The nuoc mam was flavorful and there was enough to coat the noodles and veggies. It was good, but not outstanding — I’d rate this #3 out of what we tried.
Hainan Chicken ($20) + Extra Thai Chili Chimichurri ($2.25): I can see why this is one of their popular items. They give a generous portion of chicken, the ginger garlic rice was flavorful, and the sauces really brought everything together. The steamed chicken was juicy and surprisingly flavorful on its own. The Thai Chili Chimichurri came in a tiny container but delivered a strong punch. It also came with a light broth for sipping, which my husband loved. This was probably my favorite entree of the 3 we tried.
Short Rib Pho ($26): They packed the broth separately and removed the meat from the bone, which was appreciated. The broth was addictive and the meat was tender, but the rice noodles tasted like they were from a package — not fresh, which was a letdown.
I am Vietnamese and do not really like to eat at most vietnamese restaurants in Austin; since I am from Houston and vietnamese food has not met my expectations the majority of the time. So I either cook vietnamese food at home or wait until we visit family in H-town.
I thought they recently opened but found out they have been open now for 2 years.
I found out about Lee’s K&C through IG; food presentation on the short rib pho peaked my interest. I showed our server the video and asked for it. She and her co-worker looked at video and said what it was. Pho came out and I was like, “I’m sorry but this does not look like the video, I feel as though I have been catfish” . Server was super sweet, had her manager come over and I showed the same video again. Megan (manager) looked at video and said it was the short rib pho, so she took the other bowl away. Short rib pho came out and I was so disappointed by the presentation and respectfully shared my thoughts. Manager offered to take it off but I said it was ok, I just wanted to make sure that social media presented an accurate representation of what you recieve when dining in. The fish sauce chicken wings were excellent. The pho broth was authentic/rich and the meat was tender/flavorful. We will definately come back and bring our friends to eat vietnamese food here. Thank you Megan for being attentive and understanding.
The menu is outstanding, with something for everyone. Their pho is rich, flavorful, and exactly what you need on a chilly evening. The appetizers are just as impressive—each one thoughtfully prepared and packed with flavor. And the cocktails? Simply perfection. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic or something unique, the bartenders here know their craft.
The outdoor screened-in patio is another highlight. Heated in the cooler months, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy a meal without worrying about the weather. And if you’re looking for a great deal, their happy hour is a must—amazing drinks and bites at unbeatable prices.
Beyond the incredible food and drinks, what makes Lee’s truly special is the convenience and hospitality. Whether you’re stopping in for a casual meal, celebrating a special occasion, or just grabbing a quick happy hour cocktail, you’ll always leave feeling satisfied and looking forward to your next visit.
Highly recommend—this place is a true gem!
The pho also felt off, though it was hard to pinpoint exactly why. Other dishes…mid.
To be fair, the service was great and the atmosphere was lovely. But if you’re looking for real Vietnamese food, go where Vietnamese people actually eat. There are much better options elsewhere.
– spring rolls – delicious with light and fresh ingredients that go really well with the peanut sauce
– Lee’s salt & Pepper tofu – this tofu was quite unique. It felt light and well seasoned. The interior was soft and the outside was crispy and not too chewy.
– fried oyster mushrooms – this was the star. Super crispy with a hearty delicious interior
-Hainan Chicken – My Dad ordered this and liked it
– Vermicelli bowl with tofu & egg roll – fresh and yummy
-Morning glory – this was well seasoned and had a nice flavor. Sometimes a little tough
-rice bowl with crispy tofu & vegetarian egg roll – similar to the vermicelli bowl but rice instead of noodles
The dishes come with a side of fish sauce and they had a vegetarian version which we really appreciated. It was a fantastic flavor and complimented the vermicelli and rice really well.
Overall the food was very good. The only thing that we noticed was that the tofu was cooked the same across all dishes. Although it was very delicious, it would be cool if the tofu appetiser was different from the entree.
The margarita was very tasty!
Next time I want to try their happy hour!
