My wife and I are visiting the area from Rhode Island. Driving by we noticed the full parking lot at 2:30 in the afternoon and decided to give it a try…..best decision we could have made! The food was outstanding to say the least. The service was exceptional as once they discovered my Spanish is limited, Cynthia came over and made us feel like part of the family. She thoroughly explained everything on the menu. We both would highly recommend. We’ll definitely be back. Side note, the complimentary cup of broth was absolutely delicious.

I went with my family. We all ordered la sopa especial de mariscos and fried oysters as an appetizer. All of us enjoyed our food very much. The place is small and the wait was about 15 minutes but we used the time to look at the menu and be ready to order once we were seated. As soon as you’re seated they will bring you a broth and chips.

Food is great. One of the if not the best seafood places in Brownsville. I would have given this a 5 star but since the shrimp Chipotle on the menu is $15 but they added a $2 charge on top without making me aware and for no reason for there to be an extra charge. None the less the food is great but ensure to check your receipt on your way out.

Went to the new location today. The seafood is amazing and the prices are reasonable. Had the fried shrimp plate it comes with rice, side salad, and french fries. The shrimp tastes very good. The soup they serve when u get there is amazing. Got there as soon as they opened, and immediately it got packed. The service was outstanding!

Chips, Camarones rancheros and lemonade were great, however, the rice was undercooked, napkins smelled like mildew and I got a spoon with caked in tomato peels.. btw, try the animalitos with your soup, they taste great…. we’ll give them another chance in 6 months.

Love coming here for the food. Owner (the guy) is a true fun host. Service could be a lot better, specially the (all-female) wait staff who seem to always have an attitude, including the lady checking people out. They kind of ruin the vibe but otherwise if you ignore them, this place is pretty cool.

Absolutely amazing restaurant for seafood. The top notch service remains unchanged from their roots in Matamoros, MX. The free serving of consomé along with the tostadas are amazing. You really can’t go wrong with anything you order. Chicharrones de Catan (when in season) or tambor are delicious. If you want variety you can order a Mariscada which has a little bit of everything. The sopa de mariscos is great as well, comes served with plenty of fish, octopus and shrimp. And of course, their Salsa is unmatched for seafood. When the restaurant is busy around lunch time it will be difficult to find parking.

We absolutely love Mariscos De La Rosa and come enjoy the delicious seafood when in town visiting family. My husband always orders whole red snapper and I order fish Al mojo de ajo. The sopa de marisco is always well seasoned, as are the plates we order. We love the rice as well. We applaud the chefs for the spot on taste and consistent sazón!
We are very happy to know they didn’t close as well, as their previous location showed as “permanently closed” on google maps. So we were very happy to know they just moved locations!
