The chicken livers had slivers of aluminum foil within them. The Cajun rice was mushy like left over food from cleaning the stopper/strainer after washing dishes. I had to drain off the oily layer, equivalent to over a one quarter of a cup, in order to eat it so that it wouldn’t greatly elevate my blood pressure and cholesterol. I currently take medications for high cholesterol and eating the Cajun rice the way it was served could have made me sick and even cause me to have a heart attack. I was not given any napkins and offered any condiments with my order. This seems like a location ran by people who do not care about providing quality products and customer service. I would not recommend ordering from and eating out at this particular location.

Disappointing experience at Lee’s Chicken. Ordered a 3-piece leg, thigh, and wing famous style with baked beans and green beans, but what I got was a famous thigh, a spicy leg (not what I ordered), and mashed potatoes instead of baked beans. No wing to be found either. Tried to call to resolve the issue, but no one answered. Hopefully, they can improve their customer service and order accuracy.

I got the most mushiest rice I have ever gotten in my live… looks like wash chewed by someone ans spit in the container.. as service.. I ask utensils I got non… the mac n cheese is mediocre. Taste like kraft Mac n cheese but without mixing the powder good… the chkien is okay. The ice tea was good .by the way I did not eat that nasty rice!!! That was the mean reson I bought here because I wanted rice with my meals.. what a wast of money.. ( 40 min later update.. the food gave us stomach pains and rushing to restroom)

I got the spicy whole wings with mashed potatoes and green beans—classic combo, no notes. Chicken came out hot and crunchy like it had something to prove.

This restaurant is clearly struggling. Staff were shouting at each other and, while I was eating inside, they actually locked the front door hours before closing. The cook came out at one point and grabbed a drink from the soda machine. When I went to grab my drink next, I saw that he’d left flour all over EVERYTHING–the machine, the lids, the straws, the counter.
It took about fifteen minutes to order and another twenty to get my food. But I’ll say this–the food was mostly delicious. Some of the okra had gone cold, and some of it was burned. But the fried shrimp were absolutely wonderful, the potato wedges were good and well-seasoned, and the biscuit was absolutely heaven. All this for $8. We all make questionable decisions.

Had a reason to go to St Louis and the reason lasted 5 min so i decided to spend the day exploring the city. Just aimlessly driving through city streets and couldn’t find anywhere to use a restroom. After a few blocks of cruising around I seen this location nestled into an intersection and it seemed inviting compared to the surrounding area (which isn’t that bad just old and a little crime sure) and I was feeling a little hungry so I stopped in. Felt comfortable the whole time service was fast food was fresh and amazing. Non spicy leg and thigh meal with biscuit Mac and slaw and it was definitely something that I would love to try again. Next time I’m in the Lou I’ll be back. Bathrooms where nice and clean. And to top it off they had Mr Pibb. Give it a shot but be respectful and mind the area.
St Louis will always be my favorite city and Lee’s will be apart of my future visits.

The service here is excellent! The staff is very polite and acts like they care if you are happy, which isn’t always true at fast-food places (hello, Popeye’s). Joseph W. at the counter was great. The food was good and their biscuits are the BEST–hot and buttery. Thank you!
