This was our third time visiting.
The food was as fabulous as I remembered. I can never get past the duck but my husband assured me the steak was also a standout.
A great choice of wines by the glass. Highly recommended.

Visiting Perth for the first time on a trip to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Found some good reviews about this restaurant, so we booked a table for dinner. The restaurant atmosphere and service is ok. The appetiser is good, but the main dishes are disappointed. My wife could not finish her steak because it’s so salty. I ordered the duck which is tasty, but the fries were salty too that I only ate half of it. We told our server and she offered to bring a new steak for us. We just paid and left. It’s our first meal in Perth and luckily our dining experience is much better afterwards.

We have eaten here many times. It’s consistently good, always busy and the dream team do such a good job making the experience delightful. Outstanding food to try…Crab Toast, Burger, Steak, Duck. We try and mix up our order but we always go back to Pate, oysters, steak and fries.

All the food was exquisite, cooked to perfection. The best steak I’ve ever had. Everything was full of flavour. Cocktails were fresh and high quality. Thank you to all of the talented Chef’s and FOH team for making it such a beautiful meal.

My partner and me finally tried this spot after hearing so many good, good things. Dinner did not disappoint, it was very tasty. We had a reservation, I suggest make one should you want to come as there’s limited tables inside.

It was a few weeks ago now that we went to Le Rebelle for dinner, but absolutely had to come and write a review because I can’t stop thinking about the food! We shared a few entree’s which were great and for mains I had the Duck. I wasn’t feeling the Frites, so the waiter suggested they could swap it out for a salad, something citrusy – whole thing was amazing – tender, sauce to die for and the salad perfectly complimented the flavours of the dish. We shared the two main deserts between the table – devine! Walked out having eaten way too much but just couldn’t stop, it was so good! Would definitely love to go back.

Le Rebelle is an excellent French restaurant located in Mount Lawley, Perth!

We had the degustation menu when we came and it was brilliant. Every single dish was so exquisite and each bite, you can honestly taste every flavour and effort the chefs have put in to making their dishes. They specialise in duck and the confit leg was absolutely mind-melting.

This restaurant is a must try if you’re looking for a top quality French restaurant. Service was great and the atmosphere was very cosy.

Visited Le Rebelle with a friend recently and it was such a great experience. The staff were all attentive and friendly and the food was divine – lots of fresh and rich flavours. We opted for the Carte Blanche menu (equivalent of a chef’s feed me menu) and although we’d hoped the steak tartare was part of that night’s lineup, we were not disappointed at any of the dishes we had. We’ll just have to come back! Portions were perfect, we both loved the wines and the ambiance was elegant and fun.

We were once regulars at Le Rebelle and the reliably delicious plates kept us coming monthly. It felt like “our” spot. Then one evening the fish of the day was poorly done mullet, we decided to try it and we simply couldn’t finish it. Disappointing, but these things happen, so we chalked it up to an off night and decided to give them another chance.

Last night we returned for what we hoped would be a return to form. The entrees—crab toast, a half-dozen oysters, and the house bread were nice, we were optimistic.

Then the cod arrived. It was pink, translucent in the center, and so undercooked that our knives wouldn’t cut through it—we had to pry the flesh apart with fork and knife. The texture was rubbery, almost gelatinous. We didn’t dare taste any for fear of food poisoning and parasites. When we quietly flagged the waiter and asked for the bill so we could leave, she returned with the explanation that “the chef intentionally undercooks the cod because it’s cod—we go for more of a medium-rare.” The apology seemed insincere and no offer of compensation just pressure to stay and choose something else.

They kindly removed the cod from the bill, but we were still asked to pay full price for the entrees and drink — no gesture, no recognition that serving raw fish is a health risk, not a style choice. I would have expected after such a shocking mistake that they’d remove the cost of the entrees. We left hungry, and deeply let down.

Le Rebelle used to feel like a neighborhood gem. Now it feels like a place that’s forgotten the basics. Sadly, we won’t be back.

Best duck I’ve had in my life – worth the expedition for this alone. Whole dish was perfect. Steak was alright, wouldnt really go back for it. Only had a few dishes but whatever other patrons ordered looked very good too! Generally the place was dark/intimate. Best for couples. Service was pretty good from memory. Visited Sept 2024. Would go again for special occasions (only because my wallet would crumble if i went more often)!
