I had the pleasure of dining at Le Gourmet in Upland, California, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The restaurant offers a charming and cozy atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home.
The menu at Le Gourmet is a delightful blend of flavors, showcasing both creativity and tradition. I decided to try the [insert dish name], and it was absolutely delicious. The dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, highlighting the quality and freshness of the ingredients.
The service was equally impressive. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, eager to offer recommendations and ensure that every aspect of our dining experience was perfect. Their passion for great food and customer satisfaction truly shone through.
Overall, Le Gourmet is a gem in Upland that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. I look forward to returning and trying more of their delectable dishes!

The best meal of my trip. Started with french bread and onion soup, just wonderful. Duck confit with an orange glaze was amazing. Finished with a souffle and an espresso. Definetly order the souffle with you meal and you won’t be disappointed, so good!
Cozy place, great service, and excellent food.

Going to be really honest… I was really excited to try this place out. On other sites, it was not clear how pricey it was. Each main entree is $48.95. Apps and desserts are around $15.
The Bordeaux wine was amazing. I got the St. Emillion. 5/5
We started with escargot and crab cakes. The escargot was great! 5/5 for sure. The lobster sauce on the crab cakes was flavorful, the crab cakes were ok. 3/5.
I ordered the veal porterhouse special. Sounds like it would be a big piece, but it wasn’t. Came with mashed potatoes, carrots, and green beans. The vela was drowned in gravy which was good, but really took away from the veal. My favorite part of the dish was the carrots. For the prices, 2.5/5
My friend ordered the rack of lamb. Came with the same sides and same sauce, but thankfully less. Cooked to a perfect medium rare. 3.5/5
We ordered the Grand Marnier Soufflé to share. It was baked well but we didn’t love it and only had a couple bites each. 3/5
The service was outstanding.
Overall the food did not meet our expectations, especially for the price.

I have eaten here about 3 times with my coworkers and absolutely loved it every time. It’s a small restaurant but the employees are so kind and are very attentive! The owner is a great guy and always takes care of us. Also, I totally recommend ordering the soufflé!! I can’t wait to go back next time with my friends and family (: I’ve also tried 3 different items each time I’ve come and enjoyed each! (:

We visited Le Gourmet for our anniversary this year. I gave myself a little time before I wrote this review. I will preface this to say I am an experienced fine dining server/trainer. I will begin with the most pleasant part of our experience which was Juan, the server. He was extra attentive to our table (we were the only table for the first 80-90 minutes of our visit). I think had he been properly trained as a fine dining server, he would have excelled. But for lack of training, he was an excellent server; as was the young woman bussing our table. When we entered the restaurant there was no hostess, the server just pointed towards the booths and asked us to take a seat. I let him know we had made reservations (on which I noted it was our anniversary). I notices the place setting had only one fork and 1 butter knife. We were offered menus, wine and he told us the specials. I was disappointed they did not have monkfish as stated on their online menu; which had been the deciding point on choosing Le Gourmet. After looking over the menu, we ordered escargot and shrimp appetizers to start. The escargot was served nicely hot and we enjoyed it; however, I have definitely had better. The shrimp was flavorless and I had to ask for a lemon to squeeze over it to give it flavor. We then split a Caesar salad with anchovies and little store bought croutons, aside from the tiny croutons, I enjoyed my salad. My husband had the lamb, which he liked very much. I ordered the Calamari steak which had the same flavorless sauce as the shrimp. I quickly realized it was missing the capers mentioned in the menu description. Once Juan retrieved the capers from the chef, the calamari was delicious. In my opinion, the potatoes were over whipped and the carrots could have been poached a little longer; but the asparagus was perfection. Aside from having to ask for bread, once we received it, Juan made sure our bread basket stayed full. No I like that the butter served with the bread was not overly cold and was spreadable. We finished with the molten chocolate cake for desert, which I think was well done. The desert was beautifully presented and delicious, would recommend. I will say that I was disappointed that our anniversary was never acknowledged. I feel bad for having to say that overall I left there feeling like it was an overpaid Denny’s like experience because I would not want to hurt Juan’s feelings. Juan is a very friendly, attentive server that has amazing potential as a fine dining server with training. The restaurant overall has potential I think, I know that post-pandemic is still a difficult time; it just missed the mark in too many areas. My main disappointment was in the food, I wish it was as delicious as it was presented.

The food was excellent, the waiter was kind. I had the sword fish with a lemon sauce, mashed potatoes, carrots, green beans. Carrot soup was superb. The frog legs with garlic sauce and parsley was excellent. And the Grand Marnier Soufflé was a great end to a good meal.

Decadent. Scrumptious.
For appetizer we had the Calamari Steak Strips. They were super tender and flavorful. Accompanied perfectly with the lemon wedge and tasty sauce.
The deer ribs were so incredibly juicy and not over seasoned. They had a buttery, savory, mineral and protein rich flavor. Nothing here was overly salty.
The scallops and shrimp in magical white sauce, Coquille Saint Jacques, is creamy goodness that’s leaves you smiling.
Dessert was beyond any gimmicky overly sweet pastries you’d find at a typical casual diner or bar and grill. I mean they are served fresh out of the oven! So slow down and enjoy it so you don’t burn your tongue, well worth the slow savory pace. I’d come down just for these! The Chocolate Fondant and Grand Marnier Souffle!
The food is so good you’ll want to hug the chefs when you’re done.

This is not French in the traditional sense. The food is more like a Salisbury steak TV dinner served with mash potatoes Vs Lyonnaise. The salad was iceberg with grocery store level blue cheese. I asked for a new bottle of wine, which the sever scratched out the original date. Over priced, no bar and mediocre food.
