Thank you, ladies, for making this our favourite café on the Gold Coast. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming — not just to us, but to our dogs too. We absolutely love the casual, spacious seating and the calm, unhurried atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot to catch up with friends (both human and furry!) over breakfast or brunch.
And the baguettes… have I mentioned the baguettes? A definite must-try. Our favourites are Le Classic (traditional French ham and cheese) and the Tuna baguette. If you’re after something more Aussie-style, how about the Bacon & Egg baguette — it’s our son’s favourite! Without a doubt, our favourite café on the Gold Coast.

Our Favourite French cafe, service is friendly and helpful. Food is great, interesting drink specials. Unfortunately the ham and cheese croissant was a bit over cooked this time.

I was looking forward to having some French dishes
I was a bit worried that some dishes might already sold out
They will have a long holiday….
Oh no, they did’t have Escargots (Snails in Cocotte)
That’s a shame
So I had 1/2 Baguette and Confit de Canard (Souse Vide Duck Leg Cooked for 9 hours).
It was not that long a wait for service
Baguette tested quite good
The duck was juicy and very tender
And the sauce was nice too.
Both sides were lukewarm
It was a bit windy that’s why?
The black pepper was empty so I asked to refill it but the waitress gave me a white pepper one????
I didn’t think they were the same
It’s a bit disappointing…
I would like to try their Buckwheat Crepe / Galette Complete.
I would like to be happy with that dish next time

It was my first visit to La Café Gourmand, and I absolutely loved it! The café is nicely set up and decorated, with comfortably appointed sitting areas. The service was amazing, and the food was delicious with great quality. It will definitely go on my favorite list of cafés at Gold Coast. Thank you!

My favourite cafe on the Gold Coast!! The staff are always so sweet and the barista remembered my name and order after visiting once The food is always delicious, my favourites are the savoury crepe and breakfast croissant burger! Their matcha is also really yummy and I actually love the forest matcha (matcha with a shot of espresso) too. The vibes are great and I’ve spent many days studying there for hours without ever feeling like I’m loitering. Highly recommend visiting!!!

Had French omelette which was okay, nothing special, their coffee is not good. Baquette is delicious. If you come over here go with something has a Baquette in it such as sandwich.
Staff who brought my food was having a bad day I guess, she wasnt friendly or welcoming for a waitress.
Love the garden which was comfygor my dog. I can just come back for outdoor seating and baquette.

Been coming here with my family for the past 5 years. Throughout that time the service and the food was always of such high standard. Recently, we have noticed this standard declining, where the service is pretty much non-existent and the food is average. Although the atmosphere remains pretty much the same. Hope things get back to what they used to be.

This gorgeous corner café is an absolute favourite!!! With fresh flowers, French-inspired food, and some of the best coffee around, it’s the perfect spot to catch up with friends or simply enjoy a flipping good cup of coffee 10/10 would recommend!
