The prices are reasonable, and the quality of the food is amazing. I truly loved the pizza, and I’ll definitely come back the next time I’m in town. If you’re visiting, this is a spot you don’t want to miss!
The pizza quality is not what officially made me want to write this review though… it’s the customer service! My little family rolled up to this place after going on the railway, and asked what time they close up shop. Turns out they were minutes away from locking up. My husband told them thank you, and not to worry, but they INSISTED we at least take a pizza to go. We agreed, and they made us a custom topping pizza for the road.
They totally went above and beyond for our family, and served us some very tasty pizza! Definitely check them out next time you come this way!
I had visited Mt. Rainer with a group, and this railcar plaza looked charming on the way out. The interior is very dainty, with plaster walls, wood floorings, and a small black bench if you’re waiting for your take out.
Pizza was overall decent, we got two 16′ (family size) pizzas to go, one a pepperoni pizza, and a sausage. The red sauce we ordered for the pizza was pretty moderate. Tops of the pizzas were decently crunchy, the insides and bottoms being a bit soft and doughy. I’d say the pizza is a bit similar to a Dominos Pizza.
The price for both of these pizzas was quite “meh” in my opinion, subtotaling to about $48.96 (without tax) For what it is, its not bad pizza at all, but still SUPER expensive for some decent pizza.
While I was waiting to pick up the pizza after 20 mins (estimate), The cashier was very busy at the time with other customers while also prepping pizzas. When we first came in and ordered, she looked tired and exhausted this afternoon. After noticing this and soon recieving the pizzas after the wait, I gave her a small tip as a gift of appreciation for the work she does. I asked her if shes been working all day, and she told me that she has indeed worked alot. Before I departed she hoped that I had a good night and I hoped the best for her as well.
Its an alright business, just the workers seem possibly overworked at their job, its currently on a “help wanted” status, and the prices are expensive for what you get. I would still recommend visiting this place to look at the railcars, but the care about the prices towards the product need to be adjusted.
